An outstanding selection for a supermarket, second best I have seen next to Metro Joanette in Montreal. There were even single bottles from breakups, although at a relatively high $2.50. But 6 paks were 6 paks. Better selection here than City Market, except for McNeills. An extra selection of the locals at room temperature, and the same in imports. 24 hours. Of course, no help no service. Though well organized, one had to stumble across all the beer and wine displays, hey weren’t together nor cross-linked.

I was astonished to stumble across this place; I always pegged Grand Union as one of the poor cousins of New England grocery store chains, most of the ones I’ve visited have exuded cheapness and aged disrepair. Not this one, or at least not the beer & wine section, which is unparalleled in a VT grocery store as far as I know. Nearly the same selection as Winooski Beverage and with a larger percentage refrigerated...Rock Art growlers, Westmalle and Orval and Chimay, Celebrator and other Ayinger products (not that exciting, but scare in Vermont), most every local brewer except McNeills...the second-largest/best selection overall in the area, with what looks to be a decent wine and cheese selection as well.
