Great selection, and some cool stuff I havenít seen around D.C. Price vary from too much to not enough. Friendly service, and you can get basically everything in singles. Filled a cooler up for the beach here, and didnít get through half the things I bought.

Virginia Beachís best beer store, the service is excellent and Kevin, loves to talk about beer and really knows his stuff. He has some unique offerings and prices are reasonable. They have regular tastings and will try and special order for you if they can get it.

Saw the rating and decided to stop in and check it out. It was well worth the trip. Had a top notch selection and were great with helping. The discount for buying a case was good . Had ratings for anything that was rated and sold buy the can. Good amount of local selection also. Will have to stop by next time visiting friends in the area.

Great local beer store! Has Augustiner (only second place Iíve found it in the states). Good selection of great beers with every one having a ratebeer tag. Best local spot!

Grape & Gourmet is split 40% beer, 40% wine, and 20% merchandise related to the above -- naturally this review focuses on the beer section.
The staff are highly knowledgeable (esp the owner, Kevin) and will honestly advise you according to what you say youíre looking for. Most beers in the store carry Rate Beer or Beer Advocate ratings (I suspect they pick the source with the higher review, but Iím not sure...)
The selection is about as good as youíll find anywhere -- they may not have EVERY craft beer you can think of, but they cover every major style and plenty of unique brews as well.
Prices may be a little higher than some places on the more common brews, but they carry so many things you canít find anywhere else nearby that youíll hardly care.
Thursdays they have beer tastings, a great way to check out new things before laying down your money.
I highly recommend a visit to Grape & Gourmet for any beer aficionado.

Small store, but no crap. Everything is available as singles, and almost everything has a RateBeer tag. Very good store.

Great beer store, less selection than total wines but carries a better assortment, and changes there variety more often.

Hands down the best beer store I have ever visited. Upon first glance, the store is a somewhat small Mom & Pop shop with a single aisle of beer on the right side. But donít let that fool you! While it is a somewhat smaller selection, it is an extraordinarily well thought out selection. I was greeted when I came in the door, but left alone to do my initial browsing. After a few minutes, Kevin, one of the owners approached me and asked to be of assistance. We probably talked beer for over a half hour before I even started my shopping. It is very clear that Kevin knows his stuff when it comes to beer. He made some wonderful suggestions from some breweries I had never heard of. To top it off, everything in the store can be bought in singles without any markup. That is an awesome option when youíre hesitant to buy a six-pack of something new. There are also regular tastings, but they tend to focus more on the wines, which I could care less about. Either way, this will be a regular stop for me.

This is one of the great advantages of living in VA Beach. Iím always looking forward to stop by and see what new beers Kevin tracked down. Great selection, super service and hands down one of the best beer stores out there (Sorry Deb.. wine store too).
