Avoid this place if you donít like snotty managers, owners, or bartenders. Perhaps he will apologize one day.

Very interesting place that just opened in the middle of San Marco square in Jacksonville. This is a similar set up to Beer Study in Chapel Hill or City Beer Store in San Francisco: a bottle shop that allows you to drink inside. There is a $1 odd corkage fee for consuming bottles inside from their own store, which makes no sense. But prices were low enough for me to not care. Tap list was extremely limited but had some Cigar City stuff and other local offerings. Ambiance was very crowded, loud, very popular. There is also a speakeasy in the back after pulling back the far bookcase in the back of the shop. Whether or not the speakeasy is operational is unknown. As far as I could tell, it was already going on the DL. They also have a full bar for liquor and wine set up. There are cheese plates you can order to pair with your drinks, though space to eat the cheese plate is up to your own ingenuity. Service was slow, but they were packed. Just beware, there is essentially nowhere to sit in this place.

UPDATE: I went here for a second time with some friends around midnight, staff let us in as there was still a crowd. We grabbed beers to open inside and drink and my sister asked for a Scotch. They had no other Scotch bottles currently open to pour from so said she could grab one from the shelf and they would open a new one. Well guess what, they poured her a dram and then boxed up the Scotch bottle and charged her $60 for it. Then while we were drinking our beers, the manager came out from the sliding bookcase in the back and decided to throw us all out of the bar for no reason before we had finished our drinks. This is after they had decided to serve us 5 minutes before. Extremely snotty manager, pissed our group of 7 off royally. Will not be back. Will be calling the management to get a refund for the Scotch bottle.
