Original Gangsta of the craft beer joints in Melbourne. Pouring craft well before it was cool. More of a rock pub than a craft beer bar, definitely not pretentious

Not a massive selection but a cool enough pub. They had Feral Watermelon Warhead on tap so needless to say I was sorted on the beer front. Chilled, friendly staff. I wouldnít of gone outta my way for this place but luckily a mate took me here. Oh, and they have Scared Stiff pinball here. Donít front, play that shit homey.

Usually has a couple of decent locals on tap, really enjoyed White Rabbit one night, but donít come looking to sample a load of different top class brews. Good for a night of drinking with mates, rather than for enjoyment of the beer itself.

One of my favorite pubs in Melbourne, used to be up there with the best places to drink good beer in Melbourne... but didnít seem to keep up with the new micros opening up. Anyways, they still have goat and LCPA, the pizzas (from across the road) are good enough and its just generally a very nice place to drink.

Iím not entirely sure this place is truly deserving of a listing in the Melbourne directory but they do make an effort to have a few decent beers on tap, something 98% of this cityís bars and pubs fail to do. In October tap highlightes included Mountain Goat Hightail, LC Pale Ale & Pilsner (the latter a surprisingly crap beer), Coopers Pale & Sparkling, and James Squire Amber. Crowd is fairly relaxed, mostly young inner-city types. Service is ok without being outstanding. Being able to order pizza in from a nearby shop is a nice touch and no doubt keeps the punters drinking. Pricing snapshot - LC Pale $3.80 (275ml) and Goat Hightail $4.00 (275ml).
I wouldnít go out of my way to visit if beer geeking it up but certaintly a decent pub in the Melbourne context.

Cool place, nice pizzas and a bunch of good beers (and some not so good) on tap. Only place with Little Creatures in Vic and usually 2 Coopers and 2 Goat beers plus Piss and often something else interesting.
