A great downtown location. An old building, with has been restored. They have an outdoor drinking area, it is right on a brick road, very nice. They have their 5 year round beers on tap, and then add on their seasonal brews. The food is good, a bit pricy for the quality, but good. If you have time to kill, sign up for Beer School, a very good time for only $15.00.

We happened in on a beautiful evening when they had a good musician playing- we got to sit in the lovely breeze and listen and eat- so extra ambiance points. Service was decent- it was busy. Decent selection of their own stuff. Food was not as good as I hoped, but not bad.

Very conflicted on this. It soooo long to get our food, but they did give us free desert. A Saturday afternoon and our party of 5 was sat right away. We got our drinks pretty fast. Then he would not take our food order for awhile. People who were seated 15 minutes after us got their food before we did(several different groups) They then gave us free desert. Only Great lakes beers on table and had already had most of them. Over 2 hours to have a drink and lunch.

Pretty large place. They actually have the huge production brewery down across the street from the pub. The store is separated from the pub (but next door) & the pub with the store spans almost an entire block. The pub is two stories tall as well. Very nice food menu with great food. Had the pretzel crusted chicken & it was great. So was the crème brulee for dessert. Beer list is kind of small, but it definitely has at least a few solid choices. About 6-7 normally bottled brews with 4-5 pub exclusives. Seems more like a restaurant than a pub, but nothing wrong with that. Waitress was extremely nice & very knowledgeable about the beers (even where the names originated from). She gave me a free small cup of the ice cream, too, since I was torn between that & the crème brulee. Seems like it would be a great place to just chill & have dinner with some good beer if you lived nearby. Recommended.

Stopped in after some shopping at the Westside Market. Nice old building with a couple of bars. We drank in the basement bar. They had 4 beers on tap that you can only get at the brewery and another 5 or so that you can get everywhere. Even though it was pretty busy, the service was good. I really like the feel of the basement bar. It kind of felt like a speakeasy during Prohibition. Definitely going back.

A great place to visit while in Cleveland. The score would be higher, but the selection isn’t big because they only serve their own beers. Went here on a very snowy afternoon and the place was packed. I was able to get a table in the bar area though. Although it was crowded, my server was very quick to ask what me and the other people wanted to drink and she stayed very attentive the entire time we were there. They always have a few pub exclusive beers on tap, which are interesting to try. The food here is really good and everyone in my party enjoyed what they had. There is a gift store connected where they sell their beers, among other things. I go here a few times a year and it has always been a good experience.

Awesome historical setting but the beers are just okay. Prices are pretty high. Staff was awesome though and the place is huge. Certainly a setting for everyone with loud bar front seating to a quiet basement. the pretzels were awesome!

The building of this place is really something else. Its three stories with a beer cellar, main floor and attic. It’s decorated really well with lots of beer paraphilia. And the building has some historical significance as well. I only had an appetizer so I can’t accurately comment on the food. As for the beer, the sample flight had 12 beers. Overall very average with a few really well made ones. (The Blackout Stout is a standout and Edmond Fitz Porter is nice as well) and just like anywhere else sometimes it depends on your personal taste in certain styles of beer. If you’re in the Cleveland area it is worth a stop for sure but…. I would be more interested in a return trip to Fatheads.
