I was slightly disappointed at first, I was on a beer tour of San Diego, and for some reason I wrote down that they opened their taproom at 11am, but when I arrived shortly after that, they were closed, and I learned that they didnít open until 3pm. Fortunately there were a number of other options in the area to hold me over til then ... and it was worth the wait. Yes, itís in an industrial park, but they do a good job of hiding that fact once youíre there. Itís a really cool factory-like indoor area (where the taps are) and a gorgeous outdoor beer garden. Even though it felt crowded, there really wasnít a wait to get anything - their staff flies around. Of course, they had all the Green Flash regular, seasonal, and experimental selection you could want, but, of course, had to knock íem some points there compared to bars that boast 100ís of taps. All the samples I had were only $1, a theme I noticed among taprooms in the northern greater SD-area, and my wallet appreciated it greatly. They donít serve food themselves, but have a rotating food truck schedule that pulls right up to the beer garden (and was delicious). I had about seven samples, getting a good sampling of their range, but had such a good time socializing with strangers that I didnít take very good notes at all; although, there was no beer in that group that I remember thinking "man, Iíll never get that again." I consider it as good an excuse as any (as if I needed one) to revisit this taproom next time Iím in the area.

Huge tasting room with about 16 beers on tap. Indoor and outdoor area, tons of barrels on display. Bartender was super helpful. Tasters, pints and growlers available, all reasonably priced.

The best part about visiting is the selection. They have tonnns of taps. A really friendly and cool vibe at the place, but hard to ignore the fact that itís just a massive warehouse. The amount of kegs was impressive, but tasting floor is pretty lifeless. The floodlights are blinding, the colors a bit obnoxious, and the space very cold. Loved the beers, but the place could be better.

Was here in july 2011. This was shortly after it opened. Much larger than the old location-has every Green Flash beer you can think of. Lots of seasonals/rare beers from them. fast and very friendly service. Great time! If you have 2-3 days in the Metro SD area, definately check this one out!

Visited December 7, 2913.

The place is huge. Way bigger than the old place. They have several dozen very large fermenters, a pile of barrels, and even a couple of foeders. Before you get that far though youíll be in the tasting room area. There is a large bar that wraps around the cold box. Theyíve got tons of taps to pick from, somewhere around 25. They had all the regulars on as well as all the Hop Odyssey beers (including the nasty cedar plank one), and some variations on the regulars. The service was friendly and a bit more professional than the drunks at the old location. They also have food trucks, a patio, and allow the drunk buses in so beware on a Saturday afternoon. They also do movie nights which is a neat concept. When I was there they were advertising Christmas Vacation, which is an awesome movie. They also have a separate counter for selling all kinds of merchandise and signing up for tours. Iíll definitely be stopping back in at some point.
