Large garage turned into taster/bar room. Nice tree trunk turned into bar service table. Only a few seats in bar area. To the left are a couple of round tables with chairs, and beyond that is an attached outdoor patio. I was there close to closing time, which is 9pm?, so I had the bar almost to myself. Friendly knowledgable staff. Only their beers on tap and mostly the basics. Overall, a descent beer destination.

Weird, unorganized garage feel that sort of works. Beers were a range of quality from outstanding to meh. There’s enough there that you should find something you like. Friendly staff and well worth a visit.

Cool place. Not a very big area, but they use the space well. We grabbed a sampler and found a spot to sit and enjoy our beers. The service was good, they got our beers to us pretty quickly, you choose 4 at a time. Easy enough. Worth the stop.

Eclectic interior is quite inviting - games, seats and brewing equipment in close proximity. Who coud ask for anything more? There is one TV, and when I was there it was on but with sound off. Service is alert and friendly. Not much on tap, but all their brews, and they’re all breat! Prices appear to be quite reasonable. A must if you live in Asheville, or even if you’re just visiting.

Just around the corner from the Weed, and basically every other brewery sits this tiny warehouse brewery. Open feel, with a patio and food truck. Is a bit old and rundown, only has 1 bathroom which creates a line at almost all times. They offer flights of 4 beers at a time. Try the Hand of Doom great beer. The rest were so so. Too crowded for the small place and a bad layout don’t help when the beers are only ok. The coolest thing here are their logo and glassware. Ok spot, but its a skip for me.

An interesting brewery tap room, just round the corner from Burial. The beer was very good and included one made specially for the RBWG 2014. Not that I was concentrating too much on the beer - it was fun just looking at the decorations (and thanks to Strykzone for many of the observations) - green man plaques of course but also demonic looking green babies with evil teeth, a green Star Wars character clutching a football, a green Frankenstein’s monster in an Irish hat, a green alien, the list goes on ..... Visited during RBWG 2014. Oh man, this was one of the highlights of the trip for me. The beer was solid, but it was more the general vibe of the tap room... I loved it. Such a chill tap room. Super nice bartender, good music at a perfect volume, ridiculously comfy bar stools... Nice lighting, good decor. I loved everything about the place.

> Small, divey Irish pub that happens to brew I guess

>> Strange place walkable from the ’downtown Asheville strip’. Inside is cramped, divey Irish pub with 10 or less house beers on tap. Quality was disappointing, some were okay. They had special release bottles to go but I wasn’t interested. TVs going, probably gets crowded and rowdy during sports games. Overall, I was not so thrilled with this place. Tasting flights available.

Smallish taproom in a warehouse-type building. 8 beers available when we visited. The beers were decent, but didn’t match up with some of the other breweries in town.

We came here on Saturday afternoon for RBWG, and it wasn’t crowded outside the RB crew. The tap room is basically the front quarter of a larger brewery building with a lot of character. Colorful, with a lot of breweriana and a couple TV screens. The bartender was very friendly, pouring tasters of whatever we wanted. There were 10 house taps and one special bottle for sale. The brewer also came over to chat for a while. The beer ranged from decent to excellent and just about everywhere in between. Really pleasant visit. Nice place to kill a few hours. So low-key.
