Very nice Meantime pub. As you would expect they have a number of their own beers that you don’t see other places and that’s a great thing because Alasdair Hook does not make a bad beer. They also had a decent selection of guests particularly in bottles. Nice knowledgable staff and good food. Will definetely go back if I can, even from halfway across London.

the selection, specially the bottle selection is very good. there is only two pumps. the publican seem tired. the draft beers are served too chill and to carbonated. food is good.

A decent spot down in the Greenwich area. They get some of the one-off Meantime beers on tap here, which is cool. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Off the beaten track in the tourist haven of Greenwich, slightly up the hill on the road shooting off from the large brick clock tower as you leave the village area heading south west. This pub, right next to a traditional public house has a mix of the modern and traditional and it’s a predominantly polished wood affair with a stone flagged floor extending right through the ground floor of the building to the quiet beer garden at the rear. Food is served but obviously Meantime ales take a prominence. Other brewery craft ales are also served and there’s a fantastic bottle selection including plenty from the continent, but bring plenty of cash as it’s not cheap. This doesn’t deter people though.

Big and quite modern pub doing nice food and a good range of overseas beers as well as Meantime’s own.

Located but a short walk from Greenwich train station. Inside it is a fairly large, contemporary pub. The union is the Meantime brewery flagship bar, so unsurprisingly they have a large Meantime selection. They have 9 unique keg lines with predominantly meantime regulars, plus a few seasonals and guest beers. There were also 3 casks taps, all of which were fairly boring (Doombar and the like). We were offered tastes before making our selection. What I was quite impressed by was the well-chosen bottle selection with various interesting options from Kernel, De Struise and the like. We did not eat, but the food looked good. Much better than expected considering I am not meantime’s biggest fan. The must-visit when in Greenwich.

Visited this pub several times, great relaxing pub, with friendly staff.. Having a large selection of the Meantime beers both on draught and in bottles. Good conditionon the beers and a nice selection of bottle beers both from UK and elsewhere..

Very nice pub. Plenty of Meantime taps to choose from plus many guest ales as well. Staff more than happy to offer samples before purchasing as there is allot of choice. Didn’t try the food but looked/smelt very good, not too far from home so will definitely visit again. Recommended.

Visited the Union in June ’11 with my parents having done the usual Greenwich tourist sites. Traditional looking pub with a couple of benches out the front and a few more outside tables at the rear. It was a lunchtime visit and was pretty quiet, so lots of space and service was good - be interesting to head back here on a busy night to compare?!? Beer wise - 3 hand pulls and 7 or 8 keg taps. Being the Meantime brewery tap house, majority were own beers as you’d expect, but there was a couple of German and Belgian beers also available. I had the ’Grog’ a 9% extra strong London Porter aged for 2 years in American oak casks. It was top notch - and certainly woke me up as a first drink of the day at 12.30pm (served in a third pint glass)! Also tried the Union which is a Viennese stlye lager. Bar man was very friendly and literally gave me a sample of everything and we had a 20 minute chat about favourite bars and breweries in America (as I neglected my parents for a while)! Food was fantastic also, great home made chips, right up there with the best. Definately worth taking in if you’re doing the Greenwich tourist sites.
