72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 beerguy101 (75) Newark, California | June 6, 2007 Decent selection of micros (Bells, Rogue, Stone, and some CO brews as well. Most everything was available as a single. I got a 10% discount for buying a six pack. Staff was helpful. Big place, easy to find, right off the I-65. Good selection of bourbons and other whiskies. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 illinismitty (279) Nashville, Tennessee | March 8, 2007| Updated March 26, 2007 This place is located about 60 miles from my house. I am glad the ratebeerians found this, because I have a place to stock up on Bells since my parents can no longer bring Bells down from Illinois. The store has a very open and organized feel to it. Singles are moderately priced, in the cooler and on the shelves. The shelves and coolers are neatly organized with wide aisles for easy browsing. The micro selection includes Bells, Goose Island, Stone, DFH. Ky beers include BBC and Alltech. Some of the limted release beers are a little pricey, such as $21 for DFH Fort and $10.50 for Raison D’extra 12 ounce. I’ll cut them some slack, because they are in Bowling Green, KY. Worth a stop if you are driving on I-65. Just check the dates on a few beers. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 BeerandBlues2 (457) Hanover, Maryland | December 25, 2005| Updated March 26, 2007 The store is very easy to find right off of the interstate. I did not have much time here so I did not check out the cheese shop. I can guarantee I’ll be back. This is a gem for anyone living in North Alabama. Wonderdul selection with most Stone products and a handful of Belgians and German beers. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 TheBeerOrg (34) Louisville, Kentucky | August 1, 2005| Updated July 10, 2007 I really like this store. I stop here almost every time I drive from Louisville to Atlanta. They have a very diverse selection of micros, macros, and imports. They recently hired a new beer manager, who keeps the shelves well-stocked with new and interesting brews. They sell almost all of their beers in both 6-packs and in singles. Their website is a bit outdated but gives a good idea of their selection. They have a very large selection of whiskey and bourbon, and the country ham is delicious (this is Kentucky). |
