If you’re here as a tourist the pub is worth heading to for a photo opportunity with one of the most famous statues to a dog that is situated right outside the building, although Disney probably should take some credit for making the legend of Bobby internationally famous. The bar itself is nothing much to shout about, convivial but it probably runs on tourists so doesn’t have to be much more. There’s some ales here at the central serving area against the back wall with seating in front and to the sides in a single room venue. Food is served here.

8 taps, 3 real ale and five with standards like Guinness and Tennants. I’ve seen some more diversity in their real ale selection but yesterday their three selections were Deuchar’s IPA, Caledonian 80/- and a Caledonian seasonal. Not much of a selection and i almost ordered a Guinness.
Food is very good pub fare with some of the best chips i’ve ordered at a pub. Service is quick and bar staff is friendly enough.
Ambiance is okay. The pub interior has recently been remodeled and it looks nice but still has an old pub feel, if not slightly posh.
