Unfortunately, the beer is not particularly my style. Tend to lean english, and thus lack some character. There are some good ones, you just have to pick carefully. The ’grizzly den’ is a bar section on the side of the restaurant that gets to be a whole different place late night - but honestly, the deals get better and the ambiance more what I’m comfortable with. I don’t choose to go there often, but if I end up meeting people there I’m always happy enough with the offerings, etc. The tables where the bartender serves you are the most fun.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. Absolutely love the food. Decent selection of their own beer, quality is slightly above average for a brewpub. Highly recommend based on the food quality.

Cool place to go if you want a ton of beers brewed on site. Food was very good. Downside is there are only a few TVs so watching a game is difficult if you dont get there early.

Ambiance was interesting, big woody cabin feel to it. Service ws pretty good with bartenders willing to talk about beers and knowledgable about the product. Selection was good, with a few decent beers but nothing crazy. Was able to find the bottle of La Roja that I wanted to buy at JP, but were out of. Beers were fairly priced for their quality. Worth gonig to if in Ann Arbor.

Grizzly Peak is my go to brewpub in Ann Arbor. Honestly, it is the best burger I have ever had. The beers generally rotate, so you can usually get something new each time you head there. The beer is generally a little flat sometimes, though. If you head to GP, you absolutely must have the soft pretzels. They do provide flights of beer to try, and I would recommend this, as I think the quality varies quite a bit. All in all, a real fun place to be. If you show up after 6 pm on a Friday or Saturday, expect to wait an hour or two for a table. They don’t take reservations for any parties under 6, so if you’re worried just bring along a crowd so you have a table.

Decent brewpub in Ann Arbor right near campus, but it’s much more about the food than the beer. Their beer selection is pretty average, as is the quality of their beer, but the food and service are good (try a pizza!), and it’s a good place to go after a football game (GO BLUE!).

Definitely more restaurant than brewpub. Big, almost corporate feel. Impersonal. Friendly service and fairly accommodating. Food was pretty good. Nothing spectacular or exciting. Beers were mediocre at best, but a flight of 8 for $10 is pretty good.

An old local stop for me. A nice ambiance with three separate rooms. Two bars with a total of 8-12 unique taps/casks. Beer is nothing to write home about but the food is solid.

Really didn’t like this place. I can’t say anything about the food, because I just came in to get a sampler and move on to some place better. My instincts were correct, it was nothing special. Ordered the sampler: and barely chocked it down with 2 people. The glasses were not properly cleaned so the beers were all bubbly messes and the pale ale was actually room temperature. Will not be back, and can honestly not recommend this place to anyone.

This place seems to be more of hang out for the U of M rah rah crowd than a serious brewpub (which is fine), but the food is decent and the beers are hit’n’miss. With Ashley’s and now the Jolly Pumpkin in town it may be a long time before I go here again.
