Definitely the finest pub in England. Everything during my visit was spot on conditioning wise, selection was astronomical, quality of service was drilled, efficient and attentive. I donít remember much in terms of food but Brian let me order some food from a nearby takeaway and I was able to consume it with my Magic Rock Human Cannonball so I am very grateful for that. The best pint of Human Cannonball Iíve ever had was here. Yes, this is the equivalent to the hot bars in Rome for cellaring standards and dispense standards. Really fantastic. Prices were almost too good to believe. The London pubs are much more expensive than The Grove. I had one of my best ever drinking nights here. I will definitely be back. Also of note Bitches Brewing is Grove Brew Brianís project so expect to see a lot of his beer here.

Amazing selection of bottles from all over, all well priced. Around 18 cask ales + good selection of craft keg products. Over 100 whiskies too.

Amazing, like the bizarre offspring of the Wildeman and the Rovers Return. For a non obvious location the selection is unbelievably superb. Staff seemed good, customers friendly. Didnít want to leave.

An incredible pub. Enormous selection of beer on cask, keg and in bottles. Whatís more itís beer from a lot of the very best breweries. Knowledgable staff, some very unusual bar snacks and quite honestly itís difficult to drag yourself out of this place.

Visited here Saturday 23rd April 2011 which I think was my second visit here, weíd been the year before Good start as the young lad behind the bar lets us bring our bikes right through the pub and out into the back garden to save having to faff about locking them up. Incredible range of beers, in fact I was gobsmacked at the choice, the bottled beer list was damn healthy too. Very friendly and helpful staff, great choice of beers with Mikkeller, De Molen, Gadds, Brewdog, Thornbridge etc on tap. I could have this as my local any day. Great place. We visited here again on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th February 2014. This really is a truly fantastic place, there can be few places anywhere that can match this in the UK, it just gets better and better for beer choice, on both nights we chatted with the clientele. The staff are very knowledgeable and with younger staff involved this place is really looking secure for the future. I cannot praise it enough, it was busy but not uncomfortable, I only wish this was my local.

Located just outside the town centre, approximately about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The Grove is fairly unassuming from the outside. Inside it is a clean, contemporary 2-room pub. The beer selection is unbelievable! They have 18 hand-pulls from well-chosen breweries, such as Thornbridge, Mallinsons, Gadds, Buxton etc. 8 Key-kegs including NÝgne ō, De Molen, BrewDog and Mikkeller and 5 Keg of mostly German beers. Also polypins of cider. They have a brilliant bottle list with an extensive world-wide selection. We opted for some BrewDog Bashah Reserve and AB:04. Good prices and I like the fact that all draft beer is available in third measures. Interesting bar snacks, which include a wide range of jerky and insects. Easily one of the best bars in the UK and probably one of the best Iíve ever been to.

A superb pub that has never let me down. Atmosphere always welcoming and friendly, admittedly the interior is quite basic and spartan, still very comfortable though. First class selection of beers, drank a fair few from breweries like Thornbridge, Buxton and Fullers to name but three of them. Beer quality excellent and pricing is still very acceptable, never had a bad pint here. If you only go to one pub in Huddersfield, make it the Grove.

Visited on a Friday night in July 2015. The pub is a gem with a great list of keg and cask beers from the UK and further afield, all are well kept and in decent condition. Tried several from the range and the prices for the cask beer were really good including a pint of 11%+ beer for £3.50! Keg is more expensive. Place is popular but got a table and just enjoyed the beer in the nice surroundings. A must visit when anywhere near Huddersfield.

A fairly unassuming exterior belies what is hidden within! By rights a selection of beer like this should only exist in a capital city. However, here is proof that if you build it, then they shall come. After taking everything in, I had a look through the bottles list, with a view to taking some home. I asked the barman if everything on the list was currently in stock. "Give me five minutes to check, and Iíll let you know", he said. Five minutes later and the answer was, "Yep, every oneís in stock". That pretty much sums the place up. Dedicated!
