The number of taps has been steadily multiplying at this place, and the food has been getting better as well. While it used to be a place that I went for the cheapest possible drinks, I would say that it was graduated to being legit beer bar. The happy hour isn’t as good as it once was, but is still a great deal. The food is solid, but I probably wouldn’t seek this place out for dinner. Stick to the aptly named "beer snacks," which are greasy, cheap and delicious. Not necessarily a "first choice" bar, but a very good second tier establishment.

Stopped in to meet up with an old friend while visiting another. A large bar with kind of a college bar feel to it. Service was good but nothing special. The selection was nice, especially as they had a good number of local taps. Tried a few apps and they were solid while not great. Not a bad place.

Nice local joint in St. Paul. Good tap selection. Food is decent enough. Nothing too fantastic. Prices are decent as well. Definitely not a destination, but a solid place for good beer

This is a very solid place for beer. Food is o.k. (I’ve only ever had appetizers, though.) The happy hour prices make this quite good, and I’m always able to find a) good beers, and b) local beers. The interior is a classic midwestern boozer, with a large study body clientele, but they’re usually Macalester or St. Thomas students, so they’re harmless. Don’t go out of your way to get to this bar, but it’s a good place to go if you’re staying in the area.

Had a nice large selection of beers for reasonable prices. Had a quick stay because we were there for Schadenfreude which ran out before we got there. But I would definitely head back again to grab a couple beers.

Great little neighborhood bar that I find myself at frequently. It can be crowded by the bar, but usually you can find a seat somewhere at any given time. Beer selection is really good, and there is always something good on. Food is spotty, but I wouldn’t say it is any worse than okay. Service is excellent with some of the friendliest bartenders and servers I’ve met. Great place to grab a couple of lunch beers.

Great little bar/restaurant in St. Paul, across from Macalester College. I’ve never eaten here, but the beer selection is great and the prices are very reasonable. "Neighborhood bar" vibe.

Been here a few times and it is another nice bar in St. Paul. Usually around 40 taps with local favorites like Surly, Summit, Flat Earth and Lift Bridge, and also has some of the usual suspects like Stone, Bells and Founders. Food is pretty decent, though I was a little disappointed that the "extras" such as lettuce, tomato, and onions are an additional cost to the burgers. Would have been nice to be notified of that by the waitress before I ordered almost everything on mine and doubled the price, hahaha.

Nice little neighborhood bar with a ton of taps. The taps rotate quite frequently, but there usually isn’t anything that will blow your mind. Food is decent. Definitely average bar food. The staff is super nice, and the bartenders offer up service quite fast. The late night happy hour is the time to go when almost all the taps are just a few bucks.

Part of a great little local chain of restaurants (Blue Plate Restaurant Company - about a handful of places around the Twin Cities). Juicy Lucy’s rock here - they will make them anyway you want. This is their location "with the beers" - pretty decent selection of taps, must be around 30 or so. Great happy hour, which pretty much runs all day. Old pinball machine in back, fun St. Paul vibe - I love this place. Flights available.
