Fantastic little place. Awesome beer, and at at good price. Can’t go wrong. definitely recommend.

Ambiance: not much, it was a summer’s eve, pretty hot outside, yet only a few tables were taken. Some tourists, few locals. Inside the place was empty (despite being pretty huge). Service was ok, our waiter did his best to please us, was polite and had to run off his ass, because it’s a pretty far walk from the terrace to the bar. Selection is mediocre. From a place that has 30 beers in it’s portfolio, I expect to see more than 3 on draft and 2 in bottled version on the menu. Food was decent, though nothing to go out of your way for. It’s a tick, and if you want to have had all the Munich breweries, you won’t be disappointed, but they good make things much more interesting here.

Hacker’s place on the NW of the Wies’n is ENORMOUS. I’m amazed every time I see one of these, it is HUGE. Sat outside in one of the gardens and only had the Zwickl (so I can’t say much about service), cool day but it was still pretty hammergeil. There is a light feeling of sloppiness about the place, a little damning considering the Oktoberfest crowds are months away and the tentless superstructures are rotting on the Wies’n like dinosaur bones.

I unfortunately had far too many incidents with bad service at this place to recommend it. The atmosphere is not that great either. Beer and food are standard bavarian, pop in if you are close by anyway.

Huge, modern, concrete-dominated beer-hall close to the Theresienwiese; not the nicest place in Munich, only recommended for beer-hunters.... P.S. It takes a very long walk to reach the toilets. ;-)

The beer was good and location is close to the Oktoberfest platz but pretty average considering.

A spacious brewpub near Theresienwiese, which serves some of the seasonal specialities of Hacker-Pschorr. Doesn’t feel as "original" as similar brewpubs by Augustiner and Paulaner.

A massive place next to the Octoberfest area. Service was not that great even at the bar. Food was local fare but pumped out at light speed. The neat thing about this place is the bathroom. It is larger than most brewpubs. This is not really worth a stop unless you are after thier beers to sample. There are better places in this town for sure.

Nice big typical bavarian pub. The service was sloppy, I had been there around 5p.m. and there was no more then 10 people, but still I had to wait for waiter for about 10 minutes. Good beer, nice food and only thing that spoiled the mood of bavarian beer hall was coca-cola candle holder on each table.
