What a great place. When you taste the beer, all you can say is, "Wow." Had some really good bread to go with our beer. Iíll definitely come back here next time Iím in Portland.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon - cool open feel with a horseshoe bar. The bartender was friendly and knew a ton about HOD and other local brews. There was 2008 Fred from the Wood on tap and finally got to taste my namesake brew, Matt. The smells from the kitchen were enticing and the brisket quite tasty. A must visit if youíre in Portland and within walking distance of Cascade and Green Dragon.

A large, airy, semi-industrial yet pleasant decor. Swimming pool acoustics (seems as if you can hear every conversation in the place). Brewery visible in the back through a window. Kitchen area along one wall. Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Seven HOTD brews were on tap. Currently offering a sampler of four (Greg, Blue Dot, Fred, and Adam) for $7. Limited but good menu w/ some tasty snacks (cheese plate, meat plate). Bottle of earlier vintages are available for consumption on premises only (e.g., first vintage of Adam (í94) for $75), but these can also be bought and taken out at the APEX bar not too far away. Although the selection is limited to HOTD, my high score is based on the quality of the beers available. All are good, and most are truly great. This is a must for beer lovers in Portland. Some of the very best beers in town made by one of the finest brewers around.

Minus points for a location out of the way of other beer establishments, but this beer is seriously some of the best in the World. You can find "Mike" and others on tap that you struggle to find bottled in the stores

Great place. Excellent service. Lots of stuff to have for fair prices. Bottles of Cherry Adam, Matt, Michael more. Had a Little Adam and Greg on tap. Very fun place and easy to find. A worthy mecca.

Didnít have the food here although I wish I had. Their Chuck Norris spicy duck wings were making my mouth water. What I did have were some excellent beers in a really classy tasting room. Got a flight of their standards, Ruth Fred and Adam along with a taster of their Blue Dot DIPA. After thoroughly enjoying those, I treated myself to a bottle of 2009 Michael Flanders red. Well worth the price as Iíd not ever seen that beer out in the wild. I enjoyed it thoroughly. As I was paying my tab and getting ready to leave the server told me sheíd feel awful if she let me get out of there without trying the Fred from Wood. Oh man. I could have kissed her. What an amazing beer. Definitely a must stop if youíre in Portland. Even if youíre not. Go there.

Single-handily made the price of a ticket to Portland worth the money! Food is very well priced and of much higher quality than anything Iíve ever seen at a brewpub, I mean that. Beer....What to say, 3 ounce tasters of everything make the night a lot of fun. Until of course those little glasses turn into big ones when you start to order off the ridiculous bottle selection. Apparently Mr. Sprints has kept every beer heís ever made! Yes, I did splurge for the Adam batch 1, yes the Michael as well and the Matt. A 6 year Doggie claws? Yes. 6 hours later and a very tender cab ride home, things were right with the world. Excellent service, certainly felt that we were family and friends even though I live 3,000 miles away. Beer clean glassware and proper pouring as well. If you donít stop in when your in Portland, delete your account from this website.

This was one of the my top spots to visit while in Portland. Over the course of a few days, I popped in several times. The first time I grabbed an Adam and sat at the bar. The beer was great and the bartender was very helpful when I told him I was in from out of town. He made some great suggestions on other places to go and see. The second time I was in, I grabbed a Cherry Adam ($15) and we got the meat and cheese platter along with some bread. Really good food but not a place to really go to dinner at as they really donít have big entrees. The beer selection I ding a little bit because they really only have about 5-6 drafts and then some vintage bottles, all of their beers are great though. Overall, this is a great place to visit, good beer and people.

Nice big open warehouse with a small bar. Small fridge with bottles and they let you purchase some to go. Hadnít started serving food yet...construction not finished quite yet. If you are looking for world-class, consistently delicious brews...there arenít many better!

My 100th place rating. The place was laid out with lots of empty space. I was kind of surprised how sparse it looked in a giant garage like area. Homeless people camping nearby was not surprising. Make sure you take the correct side of the bridge (right side) if youíre walking across the river. Otherwise you get forced through the lesser quality part of the neighborhood. Staff was knowledgeable. Food was excellent and I wanted more, I had the Duck Confit, my girlfriend had the largest duck wings ever with the Chuck Norris spicy wings. We ended up getting the huge plate of pickles and bread. Beer was AWESOME!!! Iíll go back in a heartbeat!
