Pretty neat place. Large glass walls allow you to watch the beer being brewed while you relax and enjoy your pint. They offer a large variety of beers from which to choose, in pints, schooners or even a sampler platter. There have at least two beers on nitro tap. The place is clean and relatively quiet with large windows that let in lots of light. The booths are large and comfortable, so itís a great place for a good conversation. The service is always quick and excellent. The menu is about average for a brew pub--been here many times and although the food is pretty good, I havenít eaten anything outstanding. Prices are about average for a brewpub in this area.

Visited on a Friday night in November 2015. The smell of brewing draws you to the place. It reminds me of a German style brewpub with plenty of wood, booths and lots of space. Classic beer range and specials range, tried some of both. Beer was Ok but nothing special. Service was pretty slow. Iíd probably call in again but only as itís convenient to get back to Downtown Seattle.

Visited early afternoon on Wednesday June 24, 2015. My friend drove us over, found parking close by, pretty much behind the building. Can get a good look at the brewery that is open and spacious for viewing before heading into the pub. Stayed for a couple of sampled of their beers. Fast and friendly service. Could see myself coming back here! In the Ballard district with very walkable places.

Stopped in here for the first time over the weekend. Really nice bar setup, though the restaurant portion seemed to be laid out a bit weird. I was a bit disappointed to see that they had a couple of their flagships off, but they did have a few new things, including some new ones, on tap. Service at the bar was a bit slow for my tastes, but not too bad. I really appreciated the fact that you could order beer in 5, 10, and 16 oz sizes so that you could be sure to drink only as much as you want.

Very cool place here. Iíve been in a couple times and have enjoyed it each time. Right in the middle of a location spoiled with places to grab a good beer, this place fits right in. The entry way is a very nice loft like scenic view of their brewing facility. They feature a section for families, and a pub section. No dogs here unfortunately, though I understand. I love the food menu. It seems like a lot of the beer places these days have a food menu full of items that are either too hard to pronounce, or look way to fancy for someone like me. Haleís has burgers, sandwiches, wings, nachos, and great beer. My kind of place for sure. They offer a wide selection of their beers, some on nitro as well, and a guest tap. Good guest tap too. When we were there it was decently busy for a weeknight near closing time, however they were all over it with good service. A big group of about 10 came in literally 10 minutes before closing time, and they kept their doors open for them and provided a full service. Not going to lie, I am impressed with this place. Good beer, good service, good selection, good price. What more can you ask for. Iíll be back.

Huge and great at one time, but very dated and a bit tired now. Service was good, but nothing great. Beer flights available. Lots on the beer list, menu for food was bit tired as well. Go to see some local beer history and its close to other breweries, but a little disappointing.

Cool expansive brewpub with lots of seating. A bunch of house beers on tap, none of which were very impressive but all competent. Service was a bit lackluster, taking a bit of time to bring our beers and bring us the bill. Cheap samplers / flights makes this a decent stop for tickers. Not really a must stop but if youíre in the area, itís not a bad one.

Nice pub, a lot of space inside, with view on the copper tanks, and a small patio for sunny days; many beers on tap (13 own, 5 guests); the quality of the beers is rather low, donít expect much, indeed the guest taps may be better; they may enforce a self-rule of max 4 tasters per person. Wifi available; clean toilets. Didnít eat there, but they have a reasonable menu.
With all the things happening in Seattle, I donít understand why they donít improve the beers.

Walkable from Fremont and Brouwerís, Hales is a classic, above-average brewpub, making fine NW pale ales and otherwise predictable but clean renditions of many other styles. The location is not the most spectacular, on a largeish brewpub between Fremont and Ballard, featuring only a smallish dining/tap room, but a nice open view on the brewery when you enter. It canít be tagged a priority, but is a quality brewpub that should be on your list if stayign in Seattle several days.

One of the originals, the brewpub is big, lots of seating and usually very busy. They offer brewery tours. Guest taps and a lot of their own beers, so the selection is decent. Worth a stop in.
