I love it here. Every time I am here I get a wild game burger/steak. The beers they have are always on point I donít think Iíve ever had a bad experience here

Very cool place to get some good beers and very unique food. I have only two complaints. The first is that the restaurant is way too dark. I could barely see the food I was eating, and obviously, it was right in front of me. The second is that the beers on draft downstairs are not available if you sit upstairs. I didnít know that going in, so I was disappointed to find out that my draft selections were dwindled from around two dozen to only seven. The selection of beer is very good, but by no means hard to find at other places. I settled for two HopDevils during my visit. The food, on the other hand, is awesome! I donít know if I should be embarrassed or not, but I tried the kangaroo loin. In my defense, it was on the chefís selection sampler platter for an appetizer, and I didnít know it was coming. Even the server didnít know what species of meats were going to be on the plate. He said they differ from one plate to the next; I guess whatever the chef feels like cooking and including on the sampler. I also tried out some boar sausage and yak, which both were very tasty! I enjoyed the gator gumbo a lot, which had crawfish and ínormalí sausage in it. Then, for my main course, I had an antelope burger, which was incredible! I ordered it medium-rare and it came out perfectly! Their homemade potato chips were excellent, as well as the grilled shrimp. I would definitely return to the Half Moon, but more for the food than the beer.

Came to half moon on a thursday night. Mushrooms for apps while you are in Kennett Sqaure is the norm. I had TX antelope, very tasty... Great service and the food menu was very unique. Lots of wild game... The beer list was very impressive as well... 3 cask selection. 20 taps and 30+bottles to choose from. I had two good DIPAs... Not one complaint here... everthing was top notch and I would go back just to get a beer.

i love the dark hardwood feel of this place...it is a warm atmosphere conducive to enjoying a nice quiet beer (unless it is packed when it is inevitably loud). the beer selection is creative and much better than average but lacks anything that is overly difficult to come by. the food menu is very nice and fairly diverse. (try the crab nachos for a starter) service is okay but at the bar it could be more attentive and prices are a bit on the high side when beer is concerned.

dinner @ rooftop. pretty good selection of belgians. prices are a bit stiff. food is great, lots of musky exotic mushroom-infused dishes. my wife had the ostrich steak and i had the kangaroo. pretty cool variety of food. not your average run-of-the-mill burger joint.

Pretty good selection of taps (15 or so?). Normally a hand full of Belgian selections, some standard macros for the weak, but l plenty of domestics (3 to 5 hand pulls normally). Food is solid, some eclectic selections even. Service is normally decent, but the prices border on outrageous, certainly expensive. A nice stop, worthy of the beer fan.

Had a friday night dinner in the roof top deck area. A little too cool to open up the huge garage doors, but nonetheless, a nice view from the top of the building. Very nice mood upstairs, but so dark, they have a cache of flashlights to hand out. Odd, I thought. Service was good, albeit occassionally absent. The beer list is exactly as it souold be. As advertised, they are a Belgian Beer bar. The prices for the entrees are really up there for what you get. Spent time after at the bar for a couple of the handpumps described by Nate, with the Troegs being Nugget Nectar vs. Hopback. I recommend a trip, and will give the restaurant another shot. The downstairs atmosphere was much more pleasing to me. Biggest plus of the night, bottles of Samual Smith Oatmeal Stout. Lovely.

Had dinner here. Beer list is heavily laden with Belgian beers, including several on tap. Urthel, Chimay, Lindemans, and several others, including DeuS. Several bottles. American micro selection was smaller, but with Troegs, Victory, Avery, and Stoudts. Three hand pumped beers this night - Troegs Hopback, Victory Hop Wallop, and Yards ESA. Food was nicely done, and there is something for everyone. Wild game selections are interesting. Uraguian beef. Recommend reservations on weekends.
