What a trip i took to go see this place my first time, but it was well worth it. Bringís you back to the old school dayís of being a kid in a candy store. Huge selection of Belgians and Micros, as well as some English Aleís, and just about anything you can think off. I have talked with many people about this place, that seem to think itís over ratted but itís not. Great selection, Good prices, Some knowledgable staff, and most importantly it is stored and maintain in excellant condition. The restaurant two stores down is also worth cheking out,
While killing some time as to spend less time with my annoying relatives, I popped in here to kill 15 minutes. About an hour later, I emerged $200 bucks lighter, and happy I had stopped in. While the service was good, I expected a bit more knowledge from a place this diverse. Prices were all over the place, but I found some great local stuff and growler fills for decent prices. A supermarket/warehouse feel that doesnít work for me, but overall it is a must see store!
Awesome, Simply Awesome
That said, why is it so awesome. Easy if I was to open a beer store I would just copy this one.
The huge store only has beer, a great start. It had aisles of beer. The first I went through had all American Micros, the second had all Belgian on one side and Germanís on the other, the third had 4 or 5 other countries, another aisle had all seasonals.
Ok that was getting boring. They had kegs tapped for growlers, as variety of inexpensive glasswhere, blah, blah, blah.
My son is in college in Poughkeepsie, so each time I go up I will make a stop to restock my fridge with beers I canít find anywhere near my home.
If your in the areas, I would suggest you check it out.
Very good selection with alot of belgians. 7 beers on tap while I was there. Pricing was pretty good and there was a pretty good selection of glassware as well. I try to get up there once or twice every couple months.
Overall good selection. Iíve ordered a few times through them and just about every time my order was shorted a few of the beers I ordered. They did fix the problem with a refund but I only found out once my order arrived at my house and checked my bank statement. There wasnít any email about a refund or what they didnít have enough of in stock. That is my only irritation with this place. There is also the fact that to get free shipping you have to order $100 of beer which is quite a bit of beer at a time. The beer isnít always fresh I received Sculpin which expired just a few days after I received it. On a brighter note selection, time to receive order and dependability as far as never having a problem at least most of my order this place has been a decent place for a good variety of brews.

This place is outstanding. The selection is great, you can get anything they carry as a single, they have growler fills, tons of stuff cold, and itís clean and well organized. Now what more could you ask from a beer store?
The staff let me roam around unaided, as they could probably tell from the selection in my cart I knew what I was doing. I was asked once if I needed any help with anything, and they had plenty of staff available if I needed them.
The tap selection for growler fills was nice (Southampton Saison & Aventinus Eisbock, among others).
One of the staff (manager or owner?) knew it would take a bit of time to cash me out, so he came over to assist with any price checks, and to just talk to me a bit about beer in general. He had a Stone Imperial Stout shirt on, so that scores points in my book too!
Even though the prices are great, be prepared to spend a lot of money in here! They threw in a couple glasses as well! A great touch!
The only bad thing about this store is that it isnít closer to me...
I drive 50 miles from Westchester County to shop here several times a year. Their bottle selection is outstanding (sure, there are a few important breweries missing but why quibble) and their keg selection is not to be believed. I recently wanted a keg and asked if they had any Avery and they said, "which one, we have them all, in multiple sizes". Very friendly owner and knowledgeable staff. Well worth the trip from, well, anywhere!
