I live in Poughkeepsie, this my go to bottle shop. As far as the major complaint of being to pricey, I guess they are at the top of the suggested retail price. I think the huge, huge selection makes up for that. If itís available in New York they get it. I have tried many beers that I would never have been able to try if I didnít shop here.

When I walked into Half Time, I had my sights set pretty high because of all the great reviews it got (from people who visited the store). It advertises itself as the Worlds Largest Selection of Beer..and mind you, I havenít been around the world to check every beer store but it still doesnít have the volume that Beers of the World in Rochester has. With that being said, it still has a vast amount of different beers but I was kind of disappointed that it only had one aisle (both side, 5 levels high) of american craft beers. I will say that their distributor tries because they get a lot more of the better brewers than we see from the upstate brewers (Bruery, Cigar City, Founders, Firestone, etc) and there selection was a nice change of pace from the stuff I typically see. Their selection was a 4 out of 5 and some of their prices were good and some were higher. I recommend stopping by when in the area and I will be shopping their website in the future.

This place has some of the best selections in the country. Slow delivery and high prices. One has to take the good with the bad.

Really great selection for many hard to find beers. Finally landed myself an ale smith speedway stout. Only complaint is a little more really hard to find beers.

Great selection although their prices are about 10% higher than most stores in the area for the same thing. HUGE store!

Overall good selection. Iíve ordered a few times through them and just about every time my order was shorted a few of the beers I ordered. They did fix the problem with a refund but I only found out once my order arrived at my house and checked my bank statement. There wasnít any email about a refund or what they didnít have enough of in stock. That is my only irritation with this place. There is also the fact that to get free shipping you have to order $100 of beer which is quite a bit of beer at a time. The beer isnít always fresh I received Sculpin which expired just a few days after I received it. On a brighter note selection, time to receive order and dependability as far as never having a problem at least most of my order this place has been a decent place for a good variety of brews.

Awesome bottle shop. A little on the pricey side, but great selection. I look forward to visiting my sister up state just so I can stop in for a visit. Last time I stopped in they just happened to be stocking the shelf with some Heady Topper! Talk about luck! Definitely worth checking out if you in the area!

I know a few people who have been here before, and having placed an order online, I agree with the good praise Iíve heard. Not all of the stuff is rare, but the selection is so massive... Shipping is reasonable and prices are even better.

Got to this place 5 minutes before closing. I was only passing through so I could not return. After about 3 minutes the employee started an agressive campaign to usher me and another customer to the register. A bad experience. One good thing is that they had Great Lakes brewery products. Too bad I wasnt given another 10 minutes when I explained I was passing through from Arizona. Employee must have had a hot date.

Great selection of US Craft Beers which is what I tend to stick with. Anytime I can find beers fom Alaska Iím happy. And they have a selection of Midnight Sun Beers. Make sure you check behind the counter. That is where they keep some of the rarer beers.
