Smart, multi roomed boozer, with a full sized snooker table, which, as far as I know, is the only one in a pub in Sheffield. It’s all Thornbridge on the bar, apart from a couple of other lager/cider fonts. What sets this place apart, though, is the licencees obvious passion for the out of the ordinary. Bracia on cask? Three year old, bottled beers in the cellar? Brand new Thornbridge brews? You’re as likely to find them here as anywhere. The music played in here is, on occasion, intrusive, and out of character, and it’s often draughty and cold. If it wasn’t for the beer choice and beer condition, I wouldn’t make a special effort to traverse the city to visit. But I do.
