Visited Håndverkerstuene 24.01.12, and must sayI was really impresed. The local has focused on an old style, and food from nearby and following the seasons. Food was really good, and they also had a great selection of quality beers, and they were reasonable priced. Best place in Oslo if you are looking for quality beer combined with food.

More of a restaurant than a pub, still ambient with quiet slow jazz music on background. Few taps of Nögne, Haandbryggeri, Aegir one Cantillon, one German Weizen and Titan IPA plus typical Rignes etc. Pilsners. Good selection of bottles. Very friendly and helpfull staff, food was so great. Best of all was that I could order 1 dl samples from tap which made my day.

Finally, I was there. Ok, is not too much of a bar. Is more like a fine dining restaurant of very good and frenchanized norwegian food. But you can still drop in for having a couple of good ales without eating. Very nice ambient, great selection of bottled and tap beers. They have a good selection of the most important micros of Norway wich are Nøgne Ø, Haandbryggeriet and Ægir. I wish they had others too. And also a good number of micros and macros from around the world. The service was outstanding for international and norwegian standards. They are really been well trained to know about the beer and the pairing with the food. Prices are high, but hey! remeber that is Norway and is not much that we can do about that.

Nice and good looking restaurant/pub. I haven’t had their food yet, but I hear it’s excellent. The selection of beer is very impressive, six norwegian micros on tap. The prices are pretty high, which is impossible to avoid in this country. But I’d say it’s well worth spending half your wage/student loan on beer of very high quality.
The service was outstanding.
