Visited after the first Bergen Beer Festival for some good beer and food along with the festival crew, so might not have the full impression of the place. Anyway, it’s a nice place, with interesting and fine local food and drinks, friendly staff. They didn’t have their own beers then, and I think they have put that on a hold now, but if they return it will certainly be a place to visit for the beers as well, even though they were not top notch.

Visited back in October 2012. I planned to have a meal and one of their own brews, but I decided against it since, as it turned out, they had not brewed anything for a while.
More restaurant than brewpub, this place. Brewing seems like a sporadic activity.
Friendly service though, and a pleasant atmosphere. Pricey menu.

Great place for Norwegian food and Norwegian Beers. The concept for this restaurant is based on Norwegian raw materials. We ordered venison steak which was very fresh and tasted delicious, and even better when paired with a bottle of Sjelefred from the Kinn Brewery. Apart from bottles from Kinn they also have a few from Nøgne Ø on the drinking menu. Much to my disappointment none of their own home made brews were available. Anyway; great place, full of atmosphere with friendly service and excellent food (visited, 17.09.2012).

A nice looking restaurant, with a good atmosphere. The food is absolute fabulous, and is highly recommended. They use allways the best ingridients. They also make their own beer, and is available in bottles. Unfortunately there wasn’t any on my visit. Rest of the beer menu is pretty good for a restaurant, with both Nøgne Ø and Kinn represented. The service wasn’t on its best this night, and a table for two got a bit overlooked among the bigger tables.

More of a restaurant than a brewpub. I think you will be dissappointed if you think this is a standard brewpub, still they brew their own beer, but bottled only !
Food are tasty and quite expensive, if you feel for a burger after a meal at this place, just relax, you are not the first. Good service, but i feel the waiters know more about the ingredients of the food, than their own beers, a pity, cause the one beer they had on my visit was quite tasty and well made. Will try again on another occasion.

A nice little restaurant with loads of charm and a top-notch staff in every aspect, from kitchen to waiters. Chef and propietor Hanne Frosta (the name of the restaurant means "Hanne on the Hill", as it is located on the Nygård hill in Bergen) takes great pride in handpicking (sometimes quite literally) the finest seasonal ingredients from the vicinity of Bergen, and is firmly rooted in the "New Nordic Kitchen" dogma (she used to work at world famous Copenhagen gourmet restaurant Noma) which makes for a truly interesting and tasty food experience. Also, she digs craft beer and homebrewing, and has a small selection of her own mini-batches for sale at the restaurant (ask though, they may be out). While the beers may still not be completely awesome (Hanne is still learning how to brew as per Janurary 2011), the food makes up for it: I’ve had my finest restaurant experiences in these premises, always surprising and always delicious - although a pit on the pricy side (but hey, this is Norway, remember?). Otherwise, the craft beer selection is limited, but of high quality. Highly recommended if you’re in town and is looking for something really different and really good.

Located close to the University this is a cozy little restaurant and now recently brewpub that focuses explicitly on local food and drinks. A nice backyard makes it nice to sit outside when the weather permits it, and the food is local, exciting and quite good yet somewhat stiff priced on both drinks and food. They have some selection of both Kinn and Nøgne Ø and now recently Hanne herself have started her own brewing: One IPA, a Wit and a Stout.
