60 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 kjohns (2) North Dakota | December 2, 2011 My go-to shop in Fargo. Best selection of craft brews on the ND side of the Red River. Many craft beers are not distributed in ND which somewhat limits their selection. Prices as good or better than other FM stores. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 csaso (133) Missouri | June 4, 2013 Huge liqour store, but relatively small beer area compared to the rest of the store. Fair size beer area I guess, but was expecting better. Went in there for some SD beer, which I did get, so that was good. Rest of the selection was lots of MN and WI, plus the usual micro/imports. Prices seemd pretty fair and staff seemed very friendly and eager to help. Probably good for the area, but only OK overall. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 cards04 (52) Steinbach, Manitoba | July 11, 2012 I really enjoy beer shopping here. Beer selection changes, prices are fair, and they get some really decent stuff too. Very friendly staff, ready to answer questions. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | June 17, 2012 Huge place. Most beers are in sixers, 12 packs or cases, and most stuff is macro. But there is one fridge case with bombers and 750sand a small shelf of singles - mix and match sixers for ten bucks. Very helpful staff. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 BVery (324) Burnsville, Minnesota | August 31, 2011 Best place in Fargo for craft beers. Barn-shaped building on 45th, decent selection of mix-and-match 6’ers, smaller number of imports, but they have most of the more common micros available in the area. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 northropfrye (97) Steinbach, Manitoba | August 6, 2011 A good selection, the nearest place for Manitobans to get Rochefort and a decent selection of American microbrews. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 sthlm (133) Iowa | July 31, 2011 Shaped like a barn and claims to be a top 10 liquor store in the nation. Inside, I was met with a little disappointment. Singles selection wasn’t great, and overall selection wasn’t amazing. That having been said, for the area, it is undoubtedly very good. Also, they do have an area that is devoted to North Dakota wine/mead/cider. Service was non-existent beyond the register, but that isn’t a big deal for me. Prices were pretty good. Seems like a solid place for Fargo, but not somewhere you should go out of your way for to seek out gems. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 bobbypaulson (37) Fergus Falls, Minnesota | March 24, 2011 This was the first place I went to when I arrived in the Northern MN ND area. It’s a big farm looking building with lots of wine and spirits and in the back is the beer section. It’s not a bad selection. They are more then willing to special order things for you if you ask. The mixer six pack is decent and so is the single bottle section. | 76 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 sjsonnenfeld (1) Fargo, North Dakota | December 24, 2010 Great place the make your own 6-pack. An impressive selection of Belgium abbey-style ales--in fact, there’s just a lot of ales period. Fun sales events throughout the year, including the popular penny wine sale (get there early if you want a full selection). Free bag of ice with purchase. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 jake65 (94) Williston, North Dakota | March 11, 2010 Looks like if I want to get good beer in North Dakota, I have to drive to Fargo. I had low expectations until I saw the massive building from the road... huge layout is quite well stocked. Prices were fair, mixed sixer at $10-11 is not bad. Not a ton of singles to mix, and not a whole lot of bombers/750’s either. However, the wall of coolers and overall six-pack selection is impressive. This is by far the best location to buy craft beer in ND (haven’t been to the other HH stores yet). A must stop if you are in the area. |
