72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 TheRealMGD (58) Lakewood, Washington | December 12, 2010| Updated January 9, 2011 The front half of the Harmon is big and open and lacking in atmosphere. As you walk into the back you pass the kitchen on the right (dunno how a lot of foot traffic affects kitchen sanitation?) and the brewing area on the left. The back is much better, with tables, couches, pool tables, pinball and several TVs. The selection consists of Harmon beers only, usually 7-8 regulars and 1-2 seasonals. The seasonals have impressed me but the regulars are fairly run of the mill. There are often specials on food and drink, including 50% off your tab on Sundays, making the Harmon Tap Room one of the best values in Tacoma. Food is a cut above the usual pub grub, some of the pizzas being the standouts. Service is unbelievably good and consistent, again one of the best in Tacoma, even as a non-regular. |
