I want to like this pub more - but itís always been so busy. Good array of more traditional beers, with the odd Kernel, etc. Staff are friendly enough. Normally expect beers to be pricey in London but was surprised last time so dropped down from my standard averagd score. I drop in if Iím passing but not somewhere Iíd stay for long.
Visited the 16th February 2016 - Nice place on the central London. Good selection very interesting service is good and price are smart. What you will like is the organization of the place with upstair a room where you will feel like at home, great ambiance.
Fantastic pub that seemed to be exactly what one should look for in a British pub; small, somewhat cramped space (but endearingly so), dark wood, beautifully conditioned ales, and old school charm. Had a few Dark Stars and a Kernel beer while I was here, sat upstairs with a school group of a professor and several students, all of whom were blasted. Awesome ambiance. Very central, and I would say a must visit for tourists considering its proximity to the cityís sights. Excellent.
2015-09-22. Nice classic English pub. Stools in front of the stained glass window facing the street. Long skinny pub with a more relaxed sitting area up the stairs of death. (Seriously, I am glad I was sober when I had to go to the bathroom! :) ) Server was friendly. Had a Kernel and a small cold pork pie that was pretty tasty. Prices seemed on the higher side, but then Kernel never seems to be cheap. Well worth a visit.
Nice traditional pub. Had to squeeze inside because place was packed with people who came for an afterwork pint. About 10 taps, some really interesting stuff like Dark Star. Well worth visiting, but be prepared for the crowd.
