Great pub. Buzzing with early evening drinkers. 15 ales on hand pump none if the usual suspects service amazingly fast considering how busy it was.

Nice pub with excellent service and good selection of keg and cask ales. Pretty busy but not hectic or noisy. Wanted to return after dinner from the excellent tapas bar opposite of Harp but they had to close due to a power outage. Bad luck.

I big long bar that was packed downstairs. Went upstairs and found a quiet room. Service was friendly and quick.
Our last official stop of RBESG 2014, it’s been great!.

Visited early on Saturday as part of a crawl round Covent Garden and nearby on 16/8/14. The Harp oozes character and is possibly the best pub in London if you get there before the crowds and sit by the big window at the front. Loved the "football free zone" posters. Great service and a good selection of cask beers and the odd keg. I read with consternation that Fullers have bought the pub though as Fullers beers are very mediocre compared with the Dark Star and other beers currently on offer in the Harp

A very crowded long bar with a quieter room upstairs. Service is surprisingly good for the amount of people around. Beers are decent, but nothing exciting, it must be said thought, they know how to take care of casks. The best pours so far.

A lovely traditional little pub just off the Strand and close to Trafalgar Square. The Harp has long been known for its well-kept beer and good range so there was much consternation when it was announced recently that the longstanding landlady was selling up. We visited less than a week after it was taken over by Fuller’s and I’m happy to report that the new manager told us the only change was that two Fuller’s taps had been installed but the rest would continue to feature interesting beers from other breweries. The beer was, as before, in excellent condition. It can get very crowded because it’s right in the heart of the tourist area and the bar is quite small but there’s another comfortable room upstairs which seems to be less well used. (Last visited 10 August 2014).

Visited on a friday afternoon and a monday by lunch and had completley different experiences. Absolutley crowded on the friday and relaxed and cozy on the monday. Has got an outside area and a big (open) window with a nice view over Charing Cross. Nice and large selection of cask ales and also a couple of traditional ciders.

Nice place in central London. Great for cask. Gets absolutely rammed when all the suits finish work.

Very freindly staff and a great atmosphere. Was there on a Thuesday night and the place was full. A nice selection on tap and good advice from the folks behind the bar. Definately a place to head to.

We went on a Thursday afternoon. First floor looked small because a lot of people were up in the entrance, but there’s also some room upstairs. A bit loud on first floor, but not problematic. Second floor is very calm. Decoration is “typical”. Front entrance is beautiful. Selection is good, but certainly not as extensive as in the Craft Beer Co. pubs. Price were very good… 1,75 GDP for a half glass of Dark Star Hophead. A nice pub to visit. I wouldn’t be a regular because of the “limited” selection the ambiance, but it’s worth a visit.
