This is a bit of a tourist trap but sadly there is not much else around Potsdamer Platz to interest beer travelers, who might be better off taking the U-Bahn two stops to Gendarmenmarkt and Augustiner. This is a master class in how to have 100 beers but few of interest. Most are samey pils or Weißbier. But I think there are Schlenkerla and a few decent odditdies if you look closely. And I remember the pommes are decent.

Busy - sat outside - only one table spare and had to find an extra seat. Service slow - as always. Same menu with more choices as the other Mommseneck Haus der 100 Biere - at Potsdamer Platz but more beers to choose from. Enjoyed Konig Pilsner, Hosler Andechs and a wonderful Doppelbock Dunkel - an intense sweet, dark, fruity, and malty mild, with a touch of smokiness.

On this pleasant visit, something of an older crowd around for the wine and Blutwurst, but that may not be the case. Has some nice large windows for streaming in light and not particularly unpleasant street seating. Clean, generic local restaurant type, online menu is current. Might return if the weather’s fine and I’m in the mood for a walk, but otherwise not really a reason to be in the area.

I made a point to check this place out as I was in Berlin this fall, good selection of beer but mostly common stuff you would find in restaurants or stores for the area with a little more variety. 12 taps and about 100 bottles. good selection of available beers from around the world, mostly big producers, some good ones but nothing really overly unique or rare, still the food and ambiance were good and we enjoyed the place.

Place has the same name as the other one already on this site which is less than a mile away. The menu is identical so it must be part of the same company. This outlet is larger, busier and more modern so it is less attractive. Sited on a main street and further from a railway station so it has little to recommend it over the other branch. However it still has a great selection of beers.
