Really great brewpub in the West Loop. The beers are typically pretty tasty with 10 or so on draft at any given time. The food is ok, but nothing special. Value wise, this place is one of the least expensive bars in Chicago.

Pretty good atmosphere, food is great, I recommend the bratwurst. Their guest drafts are alright. I had a couple of their beers, but nothing special.

Visited for lunch on a Friday. Easy to find on Halstead and Randolph, good public transport access. Big place with a bunch of seats at the bar as well hightops and a more restaurant type room beyond. 17 house beers on draft with an impressive mix of styles and 9 guests. All beers are available as 4 oz and 12 oz drafts with lower abv beers also available as 16 oz and 20 oz. 32/64 oz growlers are available for the house beers. Also had a nice selection in cans and bottles with a Belgian focus. Friendly prompt service at the bar. I enjoyed my visit.
82 = ★★★Ĺ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Great place in ChiTown, great beets in tap with a healthy dose of guest beers, nice touch. Lots of seating, good beer, excellent service.

This place definitely has a sports bar vibe going on up front, but they also have a dining area, and a back area where they often hold performance art events. Thankfully itís not too "bro-y" a sports bar, just more of a chill sports bar. The staff is friendly and beer savvy. With a smile, the bartender said "yeah, they íforceí us to sample everything." They can be a touch slow when things get crowded - but then again, what bar doesnít? If youíre offended easily by waiting an extra minute, donít go if the Blackhawks or Bulls are playing a home game - this is a popular pregame / postgame dinner spot. Roughly ten of their beers are tapped, with an additional collection of guest bottles to choose from as well as wines for the non-beer visitors (who?). 4oz samples run between $1.5-$4 depending on the beer and full pours fall between the $5-$10 range depending on the style - roughly on par for city prices. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a check.

Huge place, fairly loud & rowdy, but not intrusive. Split into two areas that could each be restaurants of their own. Haymarket makes some great beers with a big selection of their own brews. Had the Thirsty Ale on tap (barrel aged raspberry stout) and it was incredible. The grilled chicken salad was great as well. Good service. All around an awesome stop in Chicago, very underrated beers, I think. Iíll be back.

Went with a group, the selection of beer was really good, started out with about 10 of the 4 ouncers then graduated to big boy glasses. The wings were great and everything everyone else got looked good as well. I especially liked the sweet potato tater tots I was stealing off everyone, they were delightful. I plan to return to rate the beers I donít remember details of since we were having such a good time, and the sausage plate I would like to try (made in house they say). Extra points for the Fred G Sanford looking truck parked out front.

Strong selection of house brews, especially if you like a Belgian influence. Good selection of guest taps. Not especially excited about the food. Fairly typical bar faire.

A brief stop on the abbreviated Chicago beer tour with TheAlum and deyholla.
Nice patio area, but since it was pouring down rain, nobody sitting outside. Kind of dark inside on a late night, but still a pretty decent number of people. Kind of lax service at that point, more of a seat yourself situation. Larger restaurant with plenty of seating in the bar and main dining area, as well as a second room in the back.
The server was good. Though he did seem a bit surprised by my request to try ALL of the beers, though.
Beer quality on the whole was above average with a few winners and no real bad beers. Had a hot dog while we were here and it was quite good, though a little spendy at something near $10.
Overall, a good place and Iíd probably come back the next time Iím in Chicago.

My visit here last spring left me with a good impression of the big business potential of craft beer in a major city - a pretty intriguing thing to see in comparison to the relatively nascent craft beer movement in Minneapolis. The place was truly packed on a Friday at five pm. The beers were mostly serviceable, and unmemorable, perhaps befitting the sports bar personality that seemed most common in the crowd.
