young meat market crowd on a busy neighborhood corner. inside was sports on a dozen different televisions and the bar area was pretty crowded (Friday night) with a mix of young professionals and d-bags and a lack of hipsters (a good thing or bad thing Iíll leave up to you). decided to sit on the patio and away from the headache-inducing noise and the crowd. beer quality was decent, probably 6-7/10. 4oz servings are nice to see. vibe is shit and is the only reason I wonít visit again.

Sportsbar, large spaceous interior, a bit noisy. Good selection of beers, service good and fast. Would definately return on my next visit to Chicago.

We hit this brewpub after a fantastic meal at Girl and The Goat (itís right across the street). Very spacious but with a comfortable vibe. Broad slice of social life as the crowd, everyone cool, having a chilled out good time. High quality beers with a large tap selection that apparently rotates with high frequency. Didnít try the food. Definitely would come again!

The Haymarket is an absolute stop if you are in the area, anywhere near downtown. They are brewing up a storm, with about a dozen beers on tap, so I had to be selective. Their bottle selection was decent too. Very attractive environment inside, huge bar, very good service. They were brewing some unusual styles here, hoppy Belgians and the like.

Half a block off the freeway on the north side of the Loop, with some parking. 30 taps; half theirs and half guest. Decent selection, including a good sized bottle list. Long bar area with restaurant in 2nd half of building - street beer garden open too. Some personality, some sports bar.

Another solid Chicago brewpub. Nice ambiance even if it does get quite rambunctious in the evenings. Beer is solid and rotates frequently with a few nice guest taps. Food is good as well and prices are fine for Chicago. Sample sizes available on each beer. Definitely worth a stop.

Decent selection of their beers, at a pretty good price. Different size pours so that you can sample a lot.

Haymarket is a pretty fun place to come to. Itís big and has 3 different areas. I have yet to go to the back bar as Iím usually able to find a seat or get a beer fine in the main area. The bar itself is set up very well with good space and a good amount of seats. There are also a couple of tables in the immediate bar area. There is a main dining room where the majority of seating is. The selection and quality across the board is pretty strong. Haymarketís own brews are good, but haymarket also does a great job at having a lot of guest taps as well. Their bottle selection is also extremely good, but with all of the tap options Iíve yet to really dig into the bottle list The food has been very good for me as well. The brats are tremendous and the mac n cheese is also really good too. The service can be a bit variable though. Sometimes itís great, other times not so much.

Very nice list and great bar service. The one time I visited from out of town. Itís a pretty conventional brew pub but with the added bonus of having a solid list of guest taps and bottles. The food was also pretty standard pub grub. Comfortable and easy if you are downtown.
