One of my favorite places to get beer, great selection and a knowledgeable staff. This place is pretty nice and offers a friendly setting in which to shop.

A huge liquor store that has a huge selection of beers. Being itís such a large liquor store, it does get allocated a lot of beer. However, unless youíre really on-top of the release dates, itís hard to find those beers because of the heavy traffic. If you come at the right time, you can find some real gems.
Hard to find someone that can help you sometimes, cashiers are nice but the department staff seems a little too preoccupied most of the time.
Shelf prices arenít too impressive, sales are outstanding! Shop the sales and youíll come out ahead.

Stopped in with Mike and Bobby. This place is enormous. Probably the largest liquor store Iíve ever been to. Costco sized selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Tons of single bottles from all over Colorado and also a lot of interesting imports from all over Europe and some South American countries. The prices are pretty good and at least on par with other stores we visited. You can certainly find plenty of things to try here.

This has one of the more ridiculous beer selections iíve seen. 75 doors of refrigerated beer plus a walk in fridge and an aisle of unrefrigerated beer. There is a ton of stuff to chose from here. The prices are all average but the selection is out of control. On the shelves they also have this digital display telling you the price, presumably so they donít have to add stickers to all the bottles. We found lots of new start up breweries as well as all the regular stuff and some imports that I hadnít seen before. The service was friendly and the guy stocking shelves made some suggestions. Nice place, even the hippies that hate chain stores seem to like this one.

A very large new liquor store. Has a good beer selection, many colorado and domestic craft beers as well as a nice import section. Have hard to find beer on a reasonably regular occasion. A good liquor store.

Newly opened large liquor warehouse-type store with a fairly large selection. I like the digital price displays and the clean interior. Moderately large mix-six selection, which is nice, but nothing really that blew me away. I did see some things sitting on the shelf still that I no longer see at other places, but no real rarities to be had (although I did find a couple of cool meads I had been looking for). Staff was friendly, although not very helpful, one guy told me "youíve had one Belgian, Youíve had them all, right?" *face-palm* Anyways, worth checking out if you are in the area and will probably have what you are looking for. They have a large wine and liquor selection, as well as, a cigar humidor.

Really? People are commenting on the theme?! I would understand if this were a "Rate Interior Decor" site... thank all that is holy that it is not! If youíre looking for something that you canít find anywhere else in Boulder County (see also CO), then you need to visit Hazels. Clean and organized appearance. Their dedication to the rare and unique is evident as soon as you glance in the direction of the beer department. The shelves are stocked to the brim with the local, regional, domestic and imported rarities. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I will drive the extra few miles past Superior Liquor and avoid the extra couple blocks to Liquor Mart for the comparable prices and service that Hazels offers. If only theyíd put some effort into redecorating the interior... haha... but seriously, get the f*ck out of here with that shiznit. Hazels is where itís at!

Donít know about some of the other reviews on this place - the beer managers are personal friends and have an extensive knowledge about their stock and a passion for talking about it. Every time Iím in there, there is always staff at the beer coolers asking browsing patrons if they want a hand with anything. Prices are fine, and for a new store, theyíre already doing great at stocking beers you wouldnít necessarily expect them to get in addition to stocking some beers I havenít seen elsewhere (Oud Beersel Oude Kriek, for instance).
When I was in last week, they had just received Crabtree Menage a Trois (one of just a few stores in the state to get any at all). Their Sunday specials with the membership card (which Iím in favor of to get free or cheaper stuff, who doesnít like that?) has had some awesome deals on it. The wine specials they run with it are absolutely crazy sometimes, and they mega-marked down Boulevard 12-packs to $13, including Zon and specialty packs.
Itís a huge store and right on Boulderís main drag, so itís going to get a lot of traffic - ultimately itís not going to be the place for "finds." But for a healthy bit of competition for Liquor Mart, which is typically the high-water mark in town for prices, is ultimately a good thing.

about as large a selection as you can find in Denver/Boulder but they are still making a lot of errors: 1) most bottle-conditioned Belgian beers are shelved warm. 2) they do not seem to know or care about the difference between pasteurized and unpasteurized beer. 3) low gravity German imports are put on the shelf warm and under lights. they are getting better, but I think it will take some time for the just-got-into-beer 20-something geek employees to learn more about the world of beer other than what is barrel aged or has the highest alcohol. employees are trying to be helpful, but what I overhear from them talking to customers consists of very basic but highly-impassioned words about a sourness level or hop level. and quite a few times Iíve heard them recommend beers to customers which I consider to be downright terrible. beer managers definitely fit the "beeadvocate cheery-beery everything is amazing" mold. ah well, weíre getting there.
