Just a quick update: Iíve now ordered from these guys several times, they seem to be my online retailer of choice these days, and I canít understate how easy they are to deal with. Iíve also been able to buy a few things from them I didnít think Iíd get anywhere. Original rating: Based on a couple of online orders. Both experiences were very pleasant. Excellent service; Rami, Dave and Nate are super-friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Their website, or blog, gets the job done once youíve gotten used to it. As far as online selection and quality, Iíd put these guys up against anyone. A great West Coast selection with the Alesmithís, LA, Russian River, etc, and even some breweries I donít generally see elsewhere such as Valley, Midnight Sun, and Marin. Shipping from San Fran to FL and packaging costs will drive up the total price quite a bit but thatís to be expected. Iíll order from them again for sure.
Small upscale corner store with a strong selection of bourbon and craft beers. Not heavily state beers but a strong selection of regional stuff like a 50/50 eclipse variant for them, and lots of Midnight Sun. Prices are a bit high. Service was very knowledgable and offered good suggestions. I wouldnít go out of my way to stop by, but if in the area its worth a visit.
Stopped by twice when I was on vacation. Well stocked with about 5-6 fridges and another 3-4 racks filled with beer. Staff consists of major beer geeks so they know their stuff.
Parking is a bit of a pain as itís off a popular street from the Castro. Prices are run of the mill, nothing out of the ordinary or over priced. Good place if you want to pick up beers from the local area.
Small corner liquor store that is very unassuming. As you enter, the depth of selection and curated beer and whiskey picks are obvious. Iíve been a few times a year for the last 5 or 6 years and the selection and service never disappoints. There is always something interesting to try.
Visited the 15th February 2015 - Nice place near to the Castro district. The selection is very impressive. Good selection from California and west part of US and also from European breweries as Brewfist, De Molen, Thornbridge, Emelisse. Good work on the selection! Price are honest and not so excessive except some rarities. The seller gave me great advices about the beers from the bay. Very helpful, the guy is passionate about beers and knows his job! There is also a huge whisky selections. Very good place, I recommend it!
A nice bottle shop with an impressive selection of beers. Located a bit futher away from central SF, but still a short walk away from a MUNI station and Toronado. Selection was quite different compared to City Beer, and managed to find quite many bottles here that were already sold out elsewhere. A big plus for the updated availability listing at beermenus.com.
Stopped in here yesterday to start my day of SF beer. Atmosphere was laid back and informal, as a bottle shop should be IMO. Lost of bottles and glasses on the left side of the store, tons of liquor and food stuffs on the right. Service was awesome. He made sure I had everything I needed and even checked on some bottles I was looking for to make sure they didnít have any hiding in the back. Quality was high, I didnít see a single out of date beer and the awesome glass selection was a bonus. Selection was great. Tons of beers from all over the country and even more from the rest of the world. I was able to find a long time want from Europe that I never thought I would see in the US. Prices were more than reasonable. Overall an awesome bottle shop in a really cool looking neighborhood. I would love to have this place in my area.
