Empire State Building Location. Nice looking place. We sat at the basement bar. Was pretty quiet when we went. Had the full taster. Was about $6-$7 more than I paid for 8 tasters line ups at two other locations that week. Waiter could have been better, especially since we were his only table. Beers were not bad but nothing outstanding or high grav.

My favorite among Heartland brewpubs. This one feels more cozy for my taste.

Visited on Sunday 24/11/13 around 11.45 am as I was waiting for Birreria @ Eat Italy to open.
Standard Heartland set up, long thin bar to the left as you enter, upstairs level, cipper on display.
Decent choice of beers for this chain, 6 regulars plus 5 seasonals - if you want to do some Heartland ticking whilst in the Big Apple I would suggest coming to this one. They also had a seasonal bottle for sale, Red Nose Ale.
The place was pretty deserted as you may imagine for this time on a Sunday. I chatted to the bar keep for half an hour or so as I ticked all the beers in the form of a tasting tray. NYC prices for sure ... $12.95 for the 6 house beers or $14.95 for the 6 house + 2 seasonal.
When Iíd left I checked my change and realised Iíd been overcharged by $2 !
That said I did get an extra taster so no major loss.
No go to but definately one of the best Heartlands to tick at.

Brewpub - smallish chain. Beers are mostly average with a few above and a few below so yeah address. Chain pub fare. Okay.

Advised by a next seat person on a fly to NY. Came there without reservation, and had a wonderful birthday celebration. Beer was fresh and enjoyable, all the food menu we tried was also good. Liked the atmosphere of the place a lot. Friends, who visited that place afterwards liked it also.

Really nice place. Decent selection of house brews, all were decent. Service was really good, and the fish tacos were awesome. Definitely worth a stop if your in Times Square.

This place has several locations and advertises regularly. On a Friday night they were packed with what looked like a pretty yuppie clientele. The question is - why? My guess is that the people who come here donít know any better. The quality of Heartland brews is below average. The food is overpriced and portions are modest. The atmosphere is its best point - it is a pretty standard, clean, contemporary pub. Youíre better off skipping it and going someplace that serves good beer. I will go a step further and say that I donít like HB. They could be doing something good here, something like Iron Hill does in Pennsylvania, but they choose mediocrity instead. And they are not even a brewpub anymore - the brews are made at another location - but they keep their old brewkettles out in the open for decoration. How is that for style?

Rather a restaurant than a brewpub. Beer selection includes seasonals and specials. You can order tasting flights. Decoration is nice, the food is fine, beer is OK. Nice stop for lunch if youíre around.

All the Heartlands are about the same. This one is well situated right by Union Square. It is a fairly large place for the area, and usually not too difficult to get a table or bar seat. In addition to their standard selection, Heartland usually has some seaonal offerings as well. Their beers range from mediocre to solid, and their food is solid - typical bar food.

A pretty cool spot in Union Square with their own selection of beers. Nothing is great but nothing is bad either. The food is pretty good and the service is ok. Even though this is in a prime location I thought the prices were a bit steep.

Another one of those corporate created menu types....crappy stale, heartless food. Just ok beer.
