Have popped in here once or twice when doing touristy things. Large place more akin to a diner upstairs, downstairs has more of a bar feel. Standard Heartland beers and seasonals (from Greenpoint). Adequate brews but nothing special. Service has always been fine. Just a place to tick a few beers or pop in for half an hour - largely a tourist crowd as you’d imagine from the location. Useful but not essential!

Obviously a great location. Had a few samples at the bar and had lunch downstairs. Nothing outstanding, but decent food and the beers were OK. Am glad I stopped by once.

Ran into this pub on way to rattle hum. Stopped in for tick decent double IPA pricy due to location

Gotta love its location, right in the center of NY. You can watch people and tourist walking on street while sipping on beer. Place was clean and fairly friendly. Went there early during day so place was not too busy. Prices reasonable considering location.

Good place for food and drink. Oat meal stout is to be recommended. Service was a bit lame as usual in mot of New York unless you wave to the waiter. Food was good and plenty. Service was friendly but not really knowledgable about the beer. Still if you are around a good place for a pint and a good snack.

A bit touristy, but not ever insanely busy due to its size, and having full bars both upstairs and downstairs. Of the 8-9 house beers, 6 are constant, while 2-3 rotate in the remaining spots. The beers themselves are usually decent, I’ve never had a truly *bad* beer there, and I’ve had a few that I’ve actually really enjoyed. The food is nothing special, typical chain restaurant fare. Prices are average for NYC, and you can order any beer in a sampler size.

Went in on Sunday January 29, 2012. Nothing happened for a good while, so I read up on the beer list, saw staff looking at me, but still nothing happening. After a while one guy asks me if I was a new customer, then tells me they have closed the bar since the Heartland chains were having a Christmas Party. I figured they might have put up a sign on the doors, or even locked them, or at least tell me once I sat down, but seems they all were too pre occupied with the upcoming party?

Returned on Monday January 30 with a friend, got fast service to sit down, then it did take a while until our waiter arrived. After this, we had fast and nice service the whole night. Ate a very nice steak, tried the extended sampler, then had half pints of the seasonals I had left. The resturant manager came up to our table and asked how the food and beer was, all in all the second visit was a nice experience.

A large bar and restaurant near the Empire State Building. There is a bar and lots of seating at ground level, but there is also a large seating area and bar downstairs. Apparently you cannot get a table upstairs for just drinks, but you can downstairs. Anyways, they have around 5 regular taps and 2-4 seasonals on tap. Although this place is classified as a "bar", it is nearly a brewpub. The beer is not made on site, but they only serve Heartland beer. The quality of the beer is decent to mediocre. The food is standard pub fare, chain restaurant type stuff. It is pricy, even for NYC, so I wouldn’t eat here. I had no problems with the service while I was here. Overall, an alright spot. Perhaps it is best stopping here with a non-beer crowd; I wouldn’t come here as a beer destination.

Havent been here in years, but what do you expect being in the bottom of the ESB? Can get pretty crowded - and is full of tourists. Offers some decent brews occasionally.

12 taps. Only own brews available. Out of all IPAs (and all interesting ones). Looks more like restaurant. OK prices considering the location. OK service. Some of the customers were idiots. Mediocre beers. Boring.
