A nice place on the market place of Kreuzberg. Great atmosphere, really pleasant place to spend hours with sharing beers. The beers on tap are great and very tasteful. When I was there it was Pale Ale and Belgium Ale with belgium yeast. Really good beer and cheap.

(Visited July 2014) Weird little place, like a beer kiosk tucked away in a corner of a food market hall in Kreuzberg. Quite small with very limited seating, one table with wooden benches. Three own beers on tap and a couple of bottled beers. They were quite good. Visited on a Thursday at 7, it was very crowded, with a 20 minute queue to the bar. Left after one beer. Visited again on Friday at 6, and I was all by myself. Went through the remaining beers and had a chat with the staff. A completely different experience. Worth a visit, and it’s not too far away from Hopfenreich.

Located in the old railway market hall in Kreuzberg with some other nice small market booths it was one of our craftbeer highlight on our tour through Berlin. We tried all four craftbrew on tap... the Thirsty Lady, a german IPA, a great Stout and Heidenpeters Pale Ale our absolute highlight...

A stand in the corner of the markthalle with 2 craft beers on tap. The beer is good as is the food in the surrounding markthalle. It is great to have a craft beer place such as this in the market. Definitely worth a visit to try the beer and have some food. But not the type of place to hang out all evening due to limited selection.

Charming little Brewpub, although it is really more of a market stand. The markthalle it is located in has excellent street food, making it even more a visit. The beer is of very good quality, and is reasonably priced. Worth a visit for beer & food

Little place hidden in the corner of markethall, just next to shelf full of vegetables. Furniture looks like it’s been found in the dump, or made from trash. Just few sitting places, no music, weird. And no brewing equipment visible, too bad. In general not my idea of beer drinking place. Beer itself was average, served in only one size, 300 ml. Got all three available on taps, unfortunately all were pale. I was hoping for smoked porter, but not this time. Staff was there, took money, gave beer and got back to chat with regulars/friends. Still, I would come back to give them second chance.

Great little place tucked away in the corner of the market , Not very well advertised so you could easily miss it ; I tried all 3 beers they had on , and all were in excellent condition . I originally thought it was quite pricey but then i realised there was a 2 euro deposit on the glass . I was impressed by the fact you could get a beer from the stall and some food from another stall at the same time

Very small stand inside of a small shopping area. A few people there on a Friday night. Doesn’t have very long hours. The beer is truly innovative for a German brewery. The service was good. You can get the beer in bottles too.

Easy to reach via U-Bahn, great location in the Markthalle. Place looks like a small shed on the bayou with only three beers on draft which does make sense for the small production scale. It seems that about two thirds of the production goes into bottles. However, I was damned impressed by the quality of the beers which are far out the best in Berlin. The brewer mentioned that experimentation was key to his work, and he is doing a mighty fine work at it. The latter shines by its quality and most importantly by the way it breaches the German wall of typical styles. Friendly service with Johannes - the brewer - on location, beers available to go. At the end of the halle is a bbq spot that also sells Heidenpeters and that pulled pork with a smoked porter more than made my day.

I’m biased because I love this place and the Markthalle in general. But here’s an attempt to sum it up in a partly objective way. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the charming yet occasionally hectic Markthalle. Little bar with three beers on (hence a low selection rating) but they change frequently. Doesn’t matter who is working the bar, service is impeccable.
