A nice place on the market place of Kreuzberg. Great atmosphere, really pleasant place to spend hours with sharing beers. The beers on tap are great and very tasteful. When I was there it was Pale Ale and Belgium Ale with belgium yeast. Really good beer and cheap.

Easy to reach via U-Bahn, great location in the Markthalle.
Place looks like a small shed on the bayou with only three beers on draft which does make sense for the small production scale. It seems that about two thirds of the production goes into bottles.
However, I was damned impressed by the quality of the beers which are far out the best in Berlin. The brewer mentioned that experimentation was key to his work, and he is doing a mighty fine work at it. The latter shines by its quality and most importantly by the way it breaches the German wall of typical styles.
Friendly service with Johannes - the brewer - on location, beers available to go.
At the end of the halle is a bbq spot that also sells Heidenpeters and that pulled pork with a smoked porter more than made my day.

I’m biased because I love this place and the Markthalle in general. But here’s an attempt to sum it up in a partly objective way. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the charming yet occasionally hectic Markthalle. Little bar with three beers on (hence a low selection rating) but they change frequently. Doesn’t matter who is working the bar, service is impeccable.

We visited here on Saturday 16th November. Amusingly we had found a bar at the opposite corner selling one of their beers and wrongly assumed that this was the Heidenpeters bar it wasn’t, the lady serving us told us where to go. Btw the food on offer in this wonderful little indoor market hall look great, it was heaving with Berliners. The barman also appeared to be the brewer, he was really friendly and chatty. Beers were very good we had the Buckwheat Juniper Ale and the Hopback a beer brewed with nine different hops. Seating arrangements were very simple and basic. I liked this place, look out for the round Heidenpeters sign this place is tucked away in the corner.

Yes, it really is quite hard to find! If the small bar area doesn’t suit you, take your beer out to the seating area in the market hall, where you can get food to accompany it.

Great place. Very small, inside market hall in Kreuzberg (great district btw). Very original location and decor. Selection is small but "adequate" to local itself. Beer was good. Two brewed by Heidenpeters and one guest from The Monarchy.

Very odd place tucked away in the corner of a market hall in Kreuzberg, with just a bar with two taps, and some very uncomfortable stools to sit on. I was there on a hot day and the place was sweltering with no fresh air at all. A bit too minimalistic for my liking, also regarding the selection with only two beers which were a bit mediocre. The women behing the bar was very frindly and informative though.

I do agree with what culchiem wrote. Nice place inside the Markthalle with a very berliner feel. The brewer is keen and likes to talk about his beers. When there I tried the Citra Bock and the Ruby Ale. Small selection (just these two), but fair prices. You can find food in the other stands in the Markthalle and enjoy the beers, what else do you need?

A must stop on your Berlin pub crawl. Beers far more interesting than the stadnard German fare, pale ales, IPAs, porters. Friendly service. Get in touch if the opening hours don’t fit you. Ask beforehand if there are bottled beers available. They sell out fast, so it makes sense to have some put aside.
