Wow! Really love this place. Not sure why I haven’t been here before, seems they have been around for about two years. Great selection of beers you don’t see everywhere else. It’s nice to have a little different style than the same styles you sees at every San Diego Brewery

Comments: One of ~80 SD County brewery tasting rooms to get your tick on. Beers here had a decent variety of styles plus a cask version of sorts, but the quality was lacking with some very bad offerings. So unless you are solely interesting in trying new beers, I’d safely say "skip it."

This place has become a regular stop on my beer cruise. IPAs are really good, and I really like the Goosefoot Ginger. Owner is around all the time, and is a really good guy. Locals are very nice, and not necessarily beer types. Just people glad to have a brewery in their industrial park.

Small industrial park brewery near Miramar (many good beer stops around the base). Easy parking, small 7bbl system (by the looks of things). Mostly employees there on a Sunday afternoon. A food truck out back. They are a new brewery, and it kind of shows in their beers. All of them need at least a little work (none are horrendous though). Samplers are available and the prices are not bad at all.

Just a quick drive from Alesmith. Nestled in a rather large business park, accessible from Kearny Mesa or Magnatron (which my GPS told me to turn on). Decent sized bar area with friendly servers who were nice enough to explain a little bit about the beers. They weren’t bad, nothing really mind-blowing, but certainly all something you could drink. Price for the sampler was pretty good as well (I believe about $7 for 6 beers).

Visited 12/8/2012 after an eye opener at AleSmith after Advocating hard at Strong Ale Fest the night before.

This place is just on the other side of the air base from AleSmith so its semi convenient to stop in if you’re getting some barrel aged Speedway. Unfortunately its in the middle of an oddly shaped complex. The GPS puts it on Kearny Mesa Road but you have to hike into the complex a few rows of buildings. Its a typical California commercial/industrial warehouse brewery. No food on premise and I saw no food trucks but it was about lunch time on a Saturday so who knows what they do in the evening.

There were two bartenders, one had just started and was being trained. I saw a total of ten tap handles with one of them pouring water and three of the others not in use at the moment. The chalk board has ten slots so I’d imagine that they’ll all be full at some point.

Beers were decent enough. The Chocolate Night (imperial stout with cocoa powder) was nice. The rest werent bad. Nothing amazing just yet but who knows what they’ll do. I’ll stop in again at some point while visiting AleSmith.
