Best beer pub in Norway that I have been to. Knowledgeable and serviceable staff. Not very pricey for a Norwegian pub. Relaxed ambiance with no music (at all, ever). The pub itself is not too big, still roomy enough. Also, it has a small outdoor patio with a few tables for smokers where you can bring your drink. They do some import on their own, giving them a selection of beers hard or impossible to find elsewhere in Norway. Recently the first pub in Bergen to have its own exclusive beer, the Henrik Imperial Amber (brewed by Lervig) - let’s hope there will be more.

Phenomenal beer selection - the best I’ve seen in terms of a wide range of top end craft beers. The barman was kind enough to give me a tour of his cellar which was really impressive. The prices are fine for Norway. Tip: don’t try to engage the barman in ’beer nerd’ talk when the bar is busy on a Friday night. He seems to warm more to jovial conversation rather than answering questions that should be directed at the brewers.

A nice and quiet pub (no music) with the widest beer selection in Bergen. Loads and loads of beers on tap, the widest selection in Europe with a staggering 44 different beers. Also a large selection of good craft beers in their bottle selection. Reminds me of a Californian craft beer bar. Top tier! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you only visit one pub in Bergen, visit this.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside because the pub is on the 2nd floor. A great pub with a fantastic atmosphere, I went there four times, I’d be there many times a week if I was a local in Bergen. A killer selection of 44 taps, that’s a lot of taps for Norway, surprisingly not so expensive. Carefully selected bottle list with a few of them that can set you back more than you want to. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, very good with recommendations and just cool to talk to. Some kind of a small back-patio where you can drink outside with a roof over your head in the very unlikely event that it rains on Bergen. So far ahead of the rest of Bergen beer bars that there is not even a #2. Actually I didn’t even find such a great beer bar in the much large Oslo.

If you are in Bergen and appreciate craft beer you have to visit this place. No music, no bullshit, just decent beer and LOTS of it. 54 taps says it all. The owner drives his car to Sweden and Denmark to pick up kegs from the breweries they feature. Thats dedication. And it shows.

54 beers on tap! A great place, knowledgeable staff and efficient service. I was pleased to see a great selection of Norwegian craft beer on the chalkboard. Is there anything to improve? Well, I would like to have the opportunity to buy beer in a 15 or 20 cl glass. Some beers from tap are served in a small glass, but not all. (Visited September 13 and 14th 2013)

A small and intimate pub with an amazing selection on both tap and bottles. Recently extended their tap range to about 30-40, all from well-known classic beers to more rare tap ales. The same with the bottles where they might have very limited productions. It’s a small pub so it could get pretty crowded late in the weekends.
