This place could be super cool, the selection of beers available and historical location start your hopes high. Then you get crummy service and crowded out by 21 yearolds with popped collars and micro skirts with 19inch heels. If you’re 21-23 and like beer and hitting on slutty women, check it out. If you’re married or older and just want to sit and enjoy a pint with a friend there are much better locations.

One of the few places in Portland that I didn’t love. It seemed like a chain, and at least half of stuff on tap was really common. Services was fine, though, and it was reasonably priced. I was able to find Heater Allen Pils on tap, for that’s worth...

I get it. There’s 100 taps. About 40% of them are crap, though. Food and overall prices are a bit high in comparison to the rest of the city. Henry Weinhard’s is an institution. Unfortunately, it’s not even brewed Portland anymore. It’s brewed in Texas. And Henry’s beer sucks anyways.
If you avoid the Henry’s beer you’ll be ok. They have a lot of unique and cool offerings. They had a Boneyard on draft, for example.
Spend your time and liver capacity at other places when visiting Portland.

This lively bar has several sections, as well as a variety of places to sit - at a bar, in a booth, at a table. They have an astonishing selection of beers from the Pacific Northwest, so if ever you are in Portland, this place should be on your To Do list. Waitstaff are helpful and well-trained, and will gladly assist in picking out some brews. I did not notice any macrobrewed swill, and I sure saw a lot of beers I wanted to try! Food is very tasty and not too spendy. There are plenty of TVs, but when I was there the sound was not on.

Typical darkish Tavern with a fairly nice outdoor area. Service was just ok, and don’t expect the server to know much about beer. Selection was vast but mostly average beer, although there was a few gems in the list. Food was pretty good. Value was probably about average for the area. Overall a decent place but not a place I’d go out of my way to re-visit.

Maybe a bit of a tourist trap near the hotels... In fact ours recommended it to us. For such a long beer list, there weren’t too many eye-openers, but surely there’s something for everyone there. Food was on the large and buttery side. Service was good enough. My suggestion would be to pop in to see the list and have a beer before eating in a serious restaurant (plenty of options downtown) and finishing the evening at Bailey’s.

Upscale style tavern in downtown. Had a nice lunch and couple of nice brews. They have a nice burger and beer lunch special, nice happy hour and good service. Would go again.
