96 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 cards04 (52) Steinbach, Manitoba | January 6, 2013 It’s hard for me to imagine a better beer store than this..considering the staff went above and beyond in many different respects. The beer selection is impeccable. Can’t wait to go back! | 90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 northropfrye (97) Steinbach, Manitoba | January 6, 2013 A fabulous liquor store - doesn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you there’s a great selection here. Worth the trip into the suburbs. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. I’ll definitely be back. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 khoffman43 (70) Bloomington, Minnesota | December 6, 2012 Stopped in on Beer Geek Christmas 2012 and didn’t get a single rare bottle (my fault, I was late for the opening) and loved it. Great staff, selection and prices. Got a free pour of Surly Five and some nice snacks while browsing. Will definitely be going back. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 CheersMate (147) Fremont (Seattle), Washington | November 25, 2012 Small place that packs a big punch. Singles are cramped in a tiny section, but for an out-of-towner, this place really delivers. Great to see that there’s a discount, I believe 10% for mixing a six pack of beer. Seems like they get quite a gew rarities, but that’s just mere speculation. Had a mixer of Surly for me, which I didn’t see anywhere else. When my girlfriend and I pulled up to the establishment, as it’s pictured, I wasn’t expecting much, but they did surprise me. They had some older beers on hand, too, albeit, they were all mainly from 2011. Had a nice selection of European craft, but there was so much local stuff to be purchased, I didn’t bother. Great store. Not prententious, and definitely, relatively good prices. It’s good to have family in this neck of the U.S. Friendly folks working the register. Just remember that it’s a small space that packs a punch. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 bytemesis (214) Sunnyvale, California | October 31, 2012 Nice store with a good selection of craft beers, a well as decent Belgian and German. Owner its very knowledgeable and helpful. Picked up a bunch of stuff that i have been looking for for a while | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 jmikolich (84) North Ridgeville, Ohio | October 4, 2012 Couldnt even find the place becuase the sign on the front of the building was gone, I walked in and was immediately greeted by staff, who kept their distance and offered help timely but not annoyingly. Their selection is cramped in space but vast in quantity, lots of singles lining two big racks, with signs indicating new arrivals, and seasonals. Marked down beers which had sat for a while, offerings from Overseas including obscure beers I’ve never seen before. Surly cans kept in the cooler, picked up a BA Quad i’ve never seen before and chatted a bit with the help, was willing to offer suggestions. Really cool place, but tend to prefer a different store in the twin cities, would definitely come back though. | 90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 Nuffield (103) Roseville, Minnesota | August 7, 2012 The guys working here are excellent, and if you can get there for a tasting in the dingy downstairs area, that’s worth it. The selection is truly excellent, with particularly good singles shelving. I find the place a little cramped and I’m sometimes less thrilled with their non-U.S. selection than their American selection. This is one of the two or three places in the top league of Twin Cities beer stops. | 88 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 fiveacestx (57) Texas | August 6, 2012 Lots and lots of bottles at this place. I don’t remember the names of the guys working there but both talked about beer the whole time I was there. Excellent customer service. | 82 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 BVery (323) Burnsville, Minnesota | December 8, 2011 Tremendous store - stopped in on Dec. 8, 2011 for the Beer Geek Christmas party. Tons and tons of beers, and a lot of harder to find beers. Lots of 12 oz beers available in singles, which is always nice. Smaller shop, but terrific selection. Good glassware available as well. | 98 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 ryanfolty (154) Minneapolis, Minnesota | December 8, 2011| Updated January 17, 2012 Stopped in for Beer Geek Christmas 12/8/11 and wow!!!! This place rocks and Ed is the man. Amazing selection of beer and the prices were great as well, noticeably lower than Blue Max. One of the top beer stores in town, just a tad on the small side. |
