I got brought the wrong beer here by the server who then argued with me that the pale ale in front of me was a stout... Cool seeing the fermentors with the code names for the future brews on the chalkboards.

Bigger brewpub, quiet when we were there. Had their own beer on tap, that’s it. The beer was average at best. Good service.

Not a bad little brewpub, near moto-i, which I highly recommend. This place is worth a stop, but I didn’t find any beer that was very noteworthy.

The only brewpub located in what has become one of the two craft beer hotbeds in the Twin Cities. Located in the heart of the Lyn-Lake district of Uptown, the following other establishments are located within walking distance: Muddy Waters, Lyndale Taphouse, Bulldog, Bryant Lake Bowl, moto-i. I believe their beer is underrated, although will admit some of their beers on occasion will be watered down and/or otherwise lackluster. They open up a little patio in the alley next to the pub where you can play a game of bags with friends. Worth a stop on your Uptown pub crawl.

Dark brewpub with large booths and a half dozen house brews on tap. Our server was kind enough to make us a sampler of the beers, which were a tad sub-par. The menu looked good but I was stuffed from the last place so I passed on food. Plenty of TVs hung over the bar and I saw the Cards oust my Phillies from the playoffs. A handful of jovial Brewers fans were celebrating the Cards win and were confident they were going to the world series, though Pujols and Freese would have none of that (yeah!).

Some pretty good German beers here. The atmosphere is pretty boring and the place was completely empty when we visited but I’ll stop by again if I’m in Minneapolis.

Long narrow restaurant with a large bar in the middle. Pub fare is well above average. They make a wide variety of German style beers, serving six or so at a time. I had an alt, Vienna lager, and smoked doppelbock on my last visit - all were tasty and well made. I have had almost all of their beers at one time or another on previous visits - the keller, doppel, alt, and gose are exceptional. If you are looking for an IPA or a stout - you won’t find them here.

The Dunkel Wiess was without a doubt the worst beer that I have ever had. The service was good with one exception; when I order a beer I expect a pint not a 22 ounce glass. I will never go back and wonder how they stay in business.

Fun gathering spot if you are going to play bags or shuffle puck. The beer is terrible as all of their offerings have a quality to them that makes me think something is off in their brewing technique. I have tried all their beers multiple times and I just find them awful. The food is pretty decent, especially the sliders. Good location to jump over to other bars with good beer offerings.

This is a very non-descript, fairly typical brewpub. The beers are all very similar and the food is pretty standard. There’s nothing wrong with the place, but it’s certainly not a place to go out of your way to try.
