Visited on a Saturday after stopping at St. Sixtus. Unusual building and we were initially not sure if we were in the right place. Tried several of their beers including Shark Pants IPA, Barrel aged Black Albert and Pannepot. They only had 3 beers to purchase that day including Ypres and Rosse. Bought several of each, great beers. I also saw they have a beer shop in Bruges with many beers for sale but they unfortunately were closed the day we went.

Abit hard to find, no signs or anything to let you know there is a brewery here. But as we strumbled over Urbain early saturday it wasnt to hard. Upon entering the door there is a backyard with fermentions tanks, barrels, the Struise festival tap trailer, etc. 2 lines of tables where you can enjoy the beers. The tap room is in a old classroom with a blackboard explaining the brewing proces. About 20 taps, with a good mix of styles, old favorites, 3-4 different Pannepot, Elliot brew, some experimental bends, a few new beers, sours, session IPAs, and 2 vintages of Black Damnation - Double Black. Draft pours avaible in 2 sizes at very good value. Some bottles to take away aswell. Service was good, funny to be around, nice and informative about the beers. Didnt eat, but was told that there was barbecue earlier on, but it was finished when we came. Quite a big crowd, tourist and locals, that thinned out somehow later on, proberly becourse we stayed a hour or more after closing time. Was a very good visit and ill like to go back some time.

If I hadnít to drive 300km back home I probably had tasted all the beers on tap. But since I couldnít I only tasted two or three in small portions. Nice and friendly environment and a place to return. The only drawback is the prices of their bottled beer...

They only problem with this bar is that it only sells Struise beer. But when you think about it that isnít that big of a problem since they make fucking fenomenal beer. A nice visit and one of the best times I have ever had at a bar!

One of the worlds great breweries is tucked within the schoolyard of a long- closed primary girls school, so when it is not visibly apparent from the street view, fear not. On this visit there were about fifteen tap lines available for tasting pours with some phenomenal options at excellent prices. The love within this operation is obvious and it was a great experience to be part of it for one afternoon.

Visited in the summer of 2013. The tastingroom had a beer course for a group so we couldnít get any samples. Bought a bunch of Struise beer from what might be the youngest beer salesman Iíve met so far. Was a nice bike ride from Poperinge with a stop at St Sixtus on the way.

Together with my girlfriend you need to know where its is not seen for along the outside edge that there is an old school when we arrived the classroom, I saw standing on tap beer or 16 on tap to taste the guest to the tap was friendly and knew a lot of it really is a dream place for me a good price for the tastings great atmosphere just a shame that they have nothing alchohol free to drink for my bob but Iím definitely coming back to taste

A must visit if you are in the area. Barrels of beer maturing outside, a nice presentation of the brewery and its history, and lots of beers on tap to sample.

Really cool place. The guys who run Stuise are great and one of them is usually present. They have something like 15-20 beers on tap for tasters and the value is fantastic. You can also buy bottles there for takeaway and, again, the value is great. In terms of atmosphere, this place is literally an old school, and it has that feel. In the colder months the place can feel a bit sterile and drafty, but I would imagine that itís beautiful in the summer. Definitely worth a visit.

I think this is where I rate the webshop, since itís listed under the "mail order beer" section. I ordered some Pannepot before the site went down. I donít have access to the new site anymore (if itís even around anymore) but my experience was positive. Pricing is pretty good on the bottles, at least compared to the US, but the shipping of course ruins it. I was shocked when the box arrived in a plastic crate that the bottles would be delivered to the store in. The bottles were clinking together all the way from Belgium but I guess that never bothered any of the customs officials or the postal workers since the box made it just fine. Of course the documentation all says "yeast samples". Beyond that I havenít had much contact with the Struise guys. I met Urbain at Borefts and had some email contact with him and Carlo about visiting the school while we were staying in Watou. Unfortunately it didnít work out and we werenít able to tour the school house. Next time.
