Located in the the old Amherst Brewing Company locations in downtown Amherst. Great location with tastey, although grotesquesly overpriced food. Guest beer selection is limited at best. House beers have suffered of late showing a decline in flavor and quality.

I like the ambiance. Itís the kind of place and the kind of crowd that just screams brewpub in a college town. The decor was dark and dramatic and the Rimbaud/Rambo quotes on the wall showed irony and a touch of whimsy. The beers were brewed to style but were long on ambition but short on delivery. Itís a solid enough place if youíre a local but I donít see it as a destination place.

This used to be the home of Amherst Brewing Company, which has now moved out to new premises; itís been renovated and opened as a new brewpub in January 2012. The downstairs area, which has a low ceiling and rich brick red walls with original oil paintings (for sale), is quite large with lots of rooms and spaces and thereís also an upstairs bar. They had five of their own brews on tap when we visited and they were all very good. (Last visited 29 October 2012).

Nice selection of their own beers plus a few good guest taps. I go because the almost always have a very good cask available followed by their own very good IPA and other ales. Food is also very good

Iíve been to this location before when it used to be The Amherst Brewing Company which apparently has moved down the street. The beers here were OK, no off flavors or big misses but nothing all that great either. Somewhat limited food menu, mostly burgers and salads but everything we ordered was pretty good at good prices.

I stopped here for lunch last week while on vacation with the family. We were planning on hitting Amherst Brewing, and apparently they used to be at this location but forgot to tell this to my GPS. Nice brick building on the main street corner in downtown Amherst MA. Huge maze of indoor seating areas flanking a u shaped bar in the center, and a smallish deck of outside tables where we sat. 12 or so taps with probably 8 house beers and local guest taps. The beer ranged from decent to great and the food was well made typical pub grub. Service was spot on and the pricing was about what I was expecting to pay. A happy little accident worked out for the best.

Glad I decided to stop in here for a bite before I left town for Vermont. Downtown in the former location of Amherst Brewing Company, so it has an upstairs and downstairs BUT they have separate entrances. Only visited downstairs this visit where they have a big horseshoes shaped bar and some tables, chairs, and bar stools. I think this is more of the restaurant part of the pub, while upstairs is still stocked with the pool tables ABC left behind. Anyway, the beers are made by one of the former brewers of Mayflower Brewing on the Cape, a guy Iíve hung with several times in Cooperstown for the BCTC. Beers were all very clean, with no off-flavors and actually much better than expected. Look forward to returning here on my subsequent trips back to the area. They also have several choice craft bottles in varying styles in addition to the 5-6 of their own beers they have on draft. The service was great, but I was there at 2pm on a sunday with hardly any one else there.
