70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Steve_0 (72) Denver, Colorado | July 22, 2012 Pretty average liquor store, with an OK selection. Not a ton to choose from, but they get most of the CO limited releases and have some older bottles hanging around that others probably looked over. The staff was friendly and appeasing, but only really worth a stop if you are in the immediate neighborhood, and I would much rather go to Mondo Vino. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 tennessejed420 (18) Denver, Colorado | April 13, 2011| Updated April 20, 2011 Not a bad store. Staff is helpful and knowlegable and will talk to you about beer. Selection is best in the area, with the standard spectrum of CO / CA plus some very interesting imports. It is slightly more expensive than some stores but cheaper than mondo vino, the only other store with a large selection in the near area. They get some rare / allocated stuff and the store is nice and clean. Recommended for the area. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 notalush (279) Denver, Colorado | January 7, 2011| Updated April 20, 2011 Strip mall liquor store in what appears to be a newly redeveloped section of the Highlands - bright, open, grocery store-esque place, along the lines of Alameda Liquor Mart or Lowry Liquor in ambience - six pack selection is lacking and the mix a six probably has the worst selection I’ve seen in a mix a six section in town (yes, I definitely want Heineken in my mixed sixer...ugh) - bomber selection is a bit better, especially the imports, with a few Scandinavian imports that are hard to come by in town - a few Fantome 750s - attentive staff - a good neighborhood store, but nothing to go out of your way for. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | December 19, 2010| Updated April 20, 2011 Cool mostly wine store similar to Mondo Vino. Not the largest beer selection but it’s chosen quite well. Some prices were ridiculously high. I saw Blue Moon Grand Cru at Davidson’s for 6.99 and it was here for 12.99, not that I was there to load up on that world changing brew. They did have a couple of Mikkellers that I couldn’t find elsewhere. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 bblack99 (30) Kansas City, Missouri | August 12, 2010| Updated April 20, 2011 Stopped in on my way from the REI flagship store to Golden. Nice, clean store, smaller than some mega-marts, but still has a bit of a grocery store feel. Staff was attentive and helpful without being pushy. Standard Colorado selection, basically all of the state brews and a nice mix of California micros. Great place, but may not have all of the exotics you’re hunting for at first glance. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 3fourths (1082) Straßgiech, Germany | August 2, 2010| Updated April 20, 2013 typical gourmet beer and wine store for denver (sits in top 25% but wouldn’t be considered one of the top 5 in town). belgian import selection is lacking, that’s why I visited, but I was recommended to another store in town where I found what I was looking for, so the people here do seem to have a good idea of the pulse of beer in town. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 dimenhetfield (56) , Florida | April 13, 2010| Updated April 20, 2013 I stopped in looking for the Goose Island Bourbon Stout and The Abyss. The clerk said that he had both in the back and quickly grabbed both bottles for me. The service was great and the clerk was really friendly and made some other good recommendations for me. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 knightdr (21) Valrico, Florida | February 16, 2010| Updated April 20, 2013 Stopped by on the way from Denver International to Summit County. Very helpful staff. First contact helped as much as he could and then "beer" guy came out to finish me off. Wine dominated store but great selections available for this boy from Florida. Prices seemed reasonable for some (ie four pack of Ten Fidy was about $8 less than what it goes for in FL (of course Oscar Blues is down the road). Was very happy when the staff pulled a Deschutes The Abyss and a Limited Edition Bourbon Aged Yeti Imperial Stout from the back. Highly recommeded. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 jb43 (47) Colorado Springs, Colorado | July 12, 2009| Updated April 20, 2013 Nice store, with pretty good beer selection. Picked up a Blind Pig bomber and a mixed 6 pack of some beers I hadn’t seen before. Good prices overall, and a friendly and helpful staff. |
