Updating my rating to bump down Value as they have recently started what I can only call gouging. Two recent cases in point: Deschutes XXVI for $19 that went for $14 at another good bottle shop in the neighborhood and Sierra Nevada Beer Camp at $28 when another shop in the neighborhood was asking $24.
>>Boutique prices, shady customer service.
I live in the neighborhood and consequently spend an embarrassing amount of money here due to itís sheer convenience to the grocery store. The vast majority of my beer spending is done here. Heck, it even looks like Iím the ratebeer mayor here.
Had a bad experience today that will really change where I spend my money. Brought back a bottle of a beer that was infected and a drain pour and they wouldnít take it back because it was empty, b/c maybe I drank it they said. I said, I spend a lot of money here and was told, yes, we see you here all the time....Sorry. I donít know what difference it makes, were they going to argue with me over whether they thought it was infected? At the end of the day, I had a product that I was not satisfied with.
Decent selection, get pretty much all the special releases that hit town, staff friendly enough when they are taking your money and fairly knowledgeable. Prices are on the high side, but generally in line for the area.
There are way too many good bottle shops in the area where if a regular good customer brought in a flawed bottle once in while (this was my first in years of patronage at this store), it would be no questions asked. Iíll be taking my first stop beer shopping and lions share of my money to Mondo Vino or Small Batch, or Toasts from now on and get the occasional six pack here from now on.

This is a fancy-ish liquor store near Sprouts in the highlands. I went here because itís one of the few stores in Denver to get Uinta Tinder. They have a pretty impressive selection with most things in coolers and a handful of stuff at room temperature. They had cans of Cigar City Humidor IPA which made my month. They enforce a one bottle/can limit on the extra rare stuff, which is good for the populous since I know I wouldíve bought out Humidor, for instance. Prices are about a dollar higher than average around the city, but they did have several good beers on sale at great prices. One of the better beer stores in the city as far as beer hunting goes.

seemed to have an okay selection, but not huge. they did have some special beers available, which was nice. pricing was fairly typical as far as what I saw at other shops around town. not a bad store, but not a destination.

Pretty average liquor store, with an OK selection. Not a ton to choose from, but they get most of the CO limited releases and have some older bottles hanging around that others probably looked over. The staff was friendly and appeasing, but only really worth a stop if you are in the immediate neighborhood, and I would much rather go to Mondo Vino.

Not a bad store. Staff is helpful and knowlegable and will talk to you about beer. Selection is best in the area, with the standard spectrum of CO / CA plus some very interesting imports. It is slightly more expensive than some stores but cheaper than mondo vino, the only other store with a large selection in the near area. They get some rare / allocated stuff and the store is nice and clean. Recommended for the area.

Strip mall liquor store in what appears to be a newly redeveloped section of the Highlands - bright, open, grocery store-esque place, along the lines of Alameda Liquor Mart or Lowry Liquor in ambience - six pack selection is lacking and the mix a six probably has the worst selection Iíve seen in a mix a six section in town (yes, I definitely want Heineken in my mixed sixer...ugh) - bomber selection is a bit better, especially the imports, with a few Scandinavian imports that are hard to come by in town - a few Fantome 750s - attentive staff - a good neighborhood store, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Cool mostly wine store similar to Mondo Vino. Not the largest beer selection but itís chosen quite well. Some prices were ridiculously high. I saw Blue Moon Grand Cru at Davidsonís for 6.99 and it was here for 12.99, not that I was there to load up on that world changing brew. They did have a couple of Mikkellers that I couldnít find elsewhere.

Stopped in on my way from the REI flagship store to Golden. Nice, clean store, smaller than some mega-marts, but still has a bit of a grocery store feel. Staff was attentive and helpful without being pushy. Standard Colorado selection, basically all of the state brews and a nice mix of California micros. Great place, but may not have all of the exotics youíre hunting for at first glance.

typical gourmet beer and wine store for denver (sits in top 25% but wouldnít be considered one of the top 5 in town). belgian import selection is lacking, thatís why I visited, but I was recommended to another store in town where I found what I was looking for, so the people here do seem to have a good idea of the pulse of beer in town.

I stopped in looking for the Goose Island Bourbon Stout and The Abyss. The clerk said that he had both in the back and quickly grabbed both bottles for me. The service was great and the clerk was really friendly and made some other good recommendations for me.
