I needed my Belgian Red/Raspberry Tart fix and they are right across the lake. What a great little place in a super quaint town. Tightly packed in a small area was all their beer, including some sale racks, floor displays coolers and shelves. Beer arranged by brewery. Had some good stuff, including Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Calvados and oddities from New Glarus. Staff was friendly and offered my boxes, bags, and anything else I wanted. Prices were fair for MSP area.

Stopped in on way back from MN. Heard they usually had a decent supply of Toppling Goliath. True they had Golden Nugget but we didnt see any of the others we wanted. Prices are doable with pretty good selection. Easy must stop in if driving through.

Easy to get to, right off the interstate. A place for beer geeks, finds of beer chat amongst staff. Quite crammed but there is a lot of stuff here. Growlers of toppling goliath moving very very quickly. Nice spot

As a Minnesota resident, this is the place for everything Wisconsin. Toppling Goliath for growler fills?! How can you top this? Right across the border, 1/2 size growlers, good selection of beers not found in MN... worth the trip every time.

Drove over from the Twin Cities specifically to find Toppling Goliath and New Glarus stuff.... and I foundí em! Not such a large store, but it is packed with all kinds of goodies. Maybe 300+ bombers, and who knows how many six-packs and singles. Also 22 growler taps -- all great stuff. The owner, Tyrrell, was friendly and efficient. A lot more here that I would have liked to have taken away, but thereís only so much I can carry on a plane.

Ancient roadside building, set into a hillside with beer caves in the basement, with a bar and growler fills too?? Sign me up.
Big thanks to Howard for braving a severe thunderstorm to get us here right after 9am when they opened (every day apparently). Even though the bar was closed, they ran over and filled a couple growlers of Toppling Goliath Golden Nugget ($9.99 refill, awesome) and were generally super helpful and willing to chat about beer so early in the morning.
The vibe here is super cool if youíre into historical buildings, vintage roadside americana and the like. Lots of dark wood with eclectic cool knick-knacks, A giant moosehead, an aquarium with colorful fish and a sunken growler among the rocks, old historical framed photos, and the occasional tin beer sign in the back. Beer shelves are in the back and crammed full. Got a mixed sixer here of a few NG Thumbprint series, and new local American Sky beers from Hudson Brewing Co. They had obscure imports from Birra Del Borgo, Hannsens, Vanberg & DeWulf and others. Craft coolers seemingly go on forever, wrapping along the back wall. Great prices and selection.
Overall a very cool and unique place, I hope to return and check out the Nova next time.

The location and building is very interesting and has a great history to it. Beer selection is abundant but availability of a particular beer could be a hit or miss because of the number of growing craft drinkers out there. Living in St. Croix County this is the place I look for my beers.

The Hudson liquor stores stay in business primarily because of the people like me who come across the river from MN to buy New Glarus, The Bruery, Oscar Blues and Hoppiní Frog. The Nova isnít very large and their total bottle count isnít that impressive but what makes this a great place is their selection is focused on great beer that you want to drink. There are so many liquor stores I go to regularly that have hundreds of different beers on their shelves that probably sit there for a long time because most people donít purchase them. The Nova just focuses on the stuff that sells and for that they do a good job. I donít think Iíve ever went in here and didnít find something to purchase. They carry about 7 different Bruery beers, 6 or so Hoppiní Frog, the full line of New Glarus and the full line of Oscar Blues beer. They also just started doing growler fills of Toppling Goliath which is one of the most talked about up and coming breweries.

A must visit place when in Twin Cities area to grab a few things not available in Minnesota. Now they even have Three Floyds stuff and Toppling Goliath growlers. This place canít be beat.
