Holiday Market is located on the south end of Royal Oak on South Main. There is a large parking lot for customers. The beer section is located in the rear of the store and is cleanly displayed in a couple aisles. The beer is segmented geographically, including by "East Coast", "West Coast" and imports. As for the beer selection, it numbers in the hundreds with lots of domestic craft breweries like Great Lakes, Keweenaw, Shorts, Dark Horse, New Holland and Saugatuck. Many bombers too from Avery, Goose Island, and Bear Republic too. Many imports to choose from Belgium, the UK, Germany and Canada too. Mixed singles are available as well. Service is above what you expect from a grocery store. The people working in the beer area were very friendly and courteous and clearly take pride in the display and care of the stock. Overall this place is my kind of store, reminiscent of favorites like West Point Market in Akron or Hills Market in Columbus. Definitely worth a stop for any beer fan or someone who likes a quality grocer.

On my Royal Oak beer hunt stopped by here after Cloverleaf, awesome these are so close together. This place has two really long rows of beer, mostly Michigan staples with other American craft, didnít see or ignored what international stuff that was there. The selection is pretty good, focused on Michigan but has some of the harder to find ones, a couple rare Jolly Pumpkin, fix Shortís, several Dark Horses etc. Some singles but most are 6 packs, so not as accessible as Cloverleaf. Service was decent, seemed busy and more interested in helping regulars than anyone else. A good store but I wouldnít come here with Cloverleaf so close unless I was getting groceries as well.

Really nice grocery store. Think Whole Food but way less corporate and higher quality goods. Wish they had a close like this by my house in Chicago. Back to the beer. While the selection is not huge it is loaded with high quality brews. Lots of local brews including KRE and Bells Oracle. Prices are not outragous but not cheap. Decent size single section. Stock boys stated they will have a glassware section starting November 11th which is nice because it is hard to find even a pint glass at most liquors stores in this area. They have a very nice selction but if your looking for high quality singles I think Cloverleaf is better. But if your looking for a wider selection of brews and a hell of a grocery store this is the place. Service was great as the bagger hooked me up with one of those "green" six pack tote bags for free. Awesome place overall. Not as nice a Bello Vino in Ann Arbor was but same type of store.

Liquor store in the grocery store. Decent selection of singles and the prices seemed reasonable. I didnít pick up a few beers here I should have as I didnít see them as singles elsewhere.

Awesome High End Grocery Store. It has a dedicated parking lot, but it was full so ended up parking on the street close by at a meter. The beverage section is in the the corner furthest from the entrance, but close to where you check out. Itís weird how that works out. Anyway, they had a lot of Schramm and B. Nektar that I hadnít seen elsewhere, plus what I had seen around town. Best selection of Schramm of the two places I visited that did have it. Bottles were about what I expected. The beer selection was fair, but really I didnít give it much of my attention as I was on a mission to find mead. This place deserves to be on your itinerary if you visit the Detroit area. I really appreciate mikem409 giving me this heads up. Also, Iím a bit of a grocery store nerd, and this place was what I dream a grocery store should be.

independent grocer with awesome beer selection. many items available as singles -- wish everything was, but that is a small gripe. great place. really dig the frequent updates on facebook.

This is an upscale grocery that is worth the trip for the cheese alone. Lots of wine, liquor and beer. A great selection of Michigan singles as well as other craft and imports. They do get some limited releases but you have to pay attention to get them. This would be my grocery store if I were anywhere close.

Stopped in on my most recent michigan swing, pretty good selection with regards to the other stores Iíve been in up there, but I didnít see too much out of the ordinary. Nice place to pick up the essentials though.
