I visited here when they opened this past Sunday. WORST BEER STORE IN THE ENTIRE AREA.

Where do I begin? The majority of the beer is located in a walk in cooler in the back. I don’t like freezing my ass off to shop for beer. I had to go in and out of the cooler at least half a dozen times to thaw out. Service sucked ass. When I got there there was a sign just inside the door. It listed beers that were tasted there the night before. I asked if I could buy some of the beers on the sign. I was told no. Those were in the basement and only the owner could sell those. And the owner wasn’t in.

So they have a great selection. Only problem is you won’t be able to buy the good stuff. Unless the owner is there. I found no value visiting here and overall it pissed me off more than anything else. I’ll never go back here.

one of the best beer stores i have ever been to. it was hard not to spend alot of money here. however, i contained myself and only bought 125 bucks worth. Alot of out-of state beers that i didnt know were avaialbe (HOTD, jolly pumpkin) and basically anything brewed in CA its here (RR, Stone, PP, Alesmith, Alpine). a great store!

Stopped in here when I was out in SD visiting Stone because of all of the great recommendations I’d read everywhere. They were not kidding... Great vibe to the place and friendly helpful staff that went along well with their excellent selection. I have to give a special shout out to Mark who, after we talked shop for a bit, was nice enough to pull a few special bottles out of the back for me... REALLY made my trip. Highly recommended and a must stop for anyone who makes the drive out from SD to visit Stone...

Found what I was looking for - Hitachino Nest Red Rice Ale and Mikkeller Beer Geek Bacon. Only had two beers from Bruery and none of the Stone collaborations though. Pretty cool retro feel because the place probably hasn’t changed in decades. Interesting liquors too for good prices. Staff was helpful the only time I had a couple questions and went looking for another beer I needed. Would be willing to drive the 15 minutes anytime I need something unique.

Great selection of American craft in the coolers, as well as some Belgians in there as well. Russian River, Stone, Moylans, Santa Cruz, Lost Abbey, Lagunitas, AleSmith, HotD, Deschutes...you name it. Pretty extensive selection of Belgians out on shelves right behind the coolers as well, along with American Craft Belgian-style beers. The prices are what I would have expected to pay anywhere, and they also had a pretty good selection of glassware. The staff were very helpful and nice people.

Kickass store! Everything I was looking for in San Diego: Alesmith, Alpine, Lost Abbey, Telegraph, Upright (!), Pliny, Blind Pig, 50/50 Eclipse, you get the picture. Tons of Belgians, Germans, Mead, Cider, glassware. Service was adequate. The guys knew what they were doing. Seemingly a one stop shop in the SD area. Love the post-modern, 1974 feel of the place. Great vibes... reminds me of a certain liquor store in S. Minneapolis... ;)

Smallish place with a big selection, including a nice range of Belgian stuff. A few rarities. Definitely worth a look.

Was initially disappointing as the beer on the floor and on display in the cooler was ok but not the selection I had read about. Then we found the walk in cooler which holds a ton of treasures. We spent a good 45 minutes just going through everything in there as they had boxes upon boxes of stuff that had yet to be put out and that we were seemingly allowed to go through. Having been used to the great selection at Hi Times in Costa Mesa for years I have to say that Holiday has them beat with more hard to find things. (Possibly because they have less traffic?) Heading back every 2-3 months to check out what they have in stock.

Pretty rustic place. Great foreign selection. Found a De dolle Orebier Reserva. Also had lots of JW Lees of various vintages when asked. American selection pretty good too. Solid service. Plenty of hidden gooodies here.
