La place était animée pour l’ouverture avec un service un peu dépassé par la demande. Le choix des bières est axé sur la sélection Hopfenstark et celle-là n’a pas déçue. Entre 15 et 20 pompes, une place à surveiller.

From the exterior it is easy to walk right by this place which would be a shame as I felt they had the most exciting tap list I saw while in town(ex: pinot noir barrel aged DDC) - empty of customers on an early Tuesday evening, better signage out front would boost the crowds but I suppose a well kept secret is nice. 20 taps and I wanted to drink them all. As i said a fantastic tap list with great hopfenstark and rarities from other breweries. I wound up drinking 8-9 samples plus got a delicious 8$ pulled-pork sandwich. Gruff but decent service that knew their beer. A bare pine interior very modern design log cabin like feel. Tasters were 2.50$ or 3$ a pop. Well worth a visit.

Great space. Beautiful, clean wood interior. Was bright and airy on the day I was in. Sun streams in through the open front. The bar staff was knowledgeable and the beer was fantastic. It’s got a limited food menu, but the beer selection is the real treat. Their own stuff and a limited number of other Quebec micros. There not a lot to complain about here - reminds me of the Blind Tiger in NYC without the crowds.

Station ho. St is a nice bar with rustic, wooden interiors and a great selection of beer from Hopfenstark (and one beer from de Ranke). If you are into Belgian style farmhouse ales, then there is very little going wrong for you at this place.
The staff are obviously knowledgeable and, to make it even better, are also very pleasant. One of the guys came over to our table and personally handed me a sample of their imperial stout.
The place was not crowded when we were there, which was strange on a Saturday night, but that is all the better if you are trying to get seats for a group. In other words, I had no complaints. Oh, and they also have a tasty whiskey collection for your friends who are more inclined to hit the hard stuff. Good experience.

Very minimalist pub setup, pretty cold atmosphere, a single bartender, no food menu (but you can bring your own). A bit of a shame knowing that their brews are very high quality specially for their dark and Belgian style ones. Note that they brewed a collaboration beer with local metal heroes Voivod, which unfortunately sold out very quickly.

20 bières disponibles dont plusieurs très bonnes. Pas de 5 @ 7, service correct. Prix élevé. Le proprio n’a pas une approche très marketing. Très bon potentiel mais sous exploité. Pas de bouffe...

Gloomy minimalistic wood shack atmosphere. Weird vibe, this place looks empty even if it’s packed. Loud rock music. Service is not particulary friendly. Great selection, mostly Hopfenstark brews with TDD and DDC guest taps. Great stop for a quick pint...or two.

A death metal playing bar that has the interior of a sauna. The beers rock however, a must try. Fantastic saisons.

Lovely addition to the Montréal scene. The Hopfenstark beers are among the most idiosyncratic in the province and for them to open a tap room in eastern downtown is awesome. I used to live a 5-minute walk away. Shame. Anyway, I enjoy the minimalist decor Inside and am very fond of old wood and it’s all over the place here. Simplistic, with nothing on the walls, a few scotches behind the bar and 20 or so taps comprising mostly Hopfenstark creations. It’s hard to go wrong from there. The couple of times I went, I always got carried into conversations with friendly souls or Fred who were already there and ended up having a lot of fun, sometimes when I should have been working. It makes it a dangerous place that I really should not go to all that often if I’m to remain a productive young man. In any case, whenever I’ll feel like not being all that productive, Station Host will be as good as choice as any. I can see Fred being tricked, eventually, by tough décisions like should he add more tables as the place inevitably grows more popular. No food as of Fall 2013.

Well located on Ontario street. Not particularly huge place, but it’s nicely decorated and fun. I went there on a Saturday night and it was not too crowded. Ambiance was good. Music is not too loud. Service wasn’t particularly friendly, but they seems to know their beers. Good selection, mostly their beers with a couple of guest taps including DDC and TDD. Value is on par with other good bar/brewpub in the area. A place worth visiting at least once.
