La place était animée pour l’ouverture avec un service un peu dépassé par la demande. Le choix des bières est axé sur la sélection Hopfenstark et celle-là n’a pas déçue. Entre 15 et 20 pompes, une place à surveiller.

Last beer stop of the weekend in Montreal was a real surprise hit. The place is strange as hell with weird circus music playing and a silent movie about freaks projecting on the wall.. not really my thing but whatever lets get to what matters. The beer was great and the second best house beers we had all weekend. Sours, saisons, and some hops all done well and served to our drunken American asses by a friendly bartender that could barely understand us. Great stop and a place I would go back for more beers in a future visit just hopefully theyll put on a better movie....

This is a great bar showcasing the excellent Hopfenstark beers. About twenty beers on tap across a wide range of styles. What can I say, the beers are delicious and very well brewed. The bar is around a 15 minute walk east of busy Saint-Denis street so it retains more of a neighbourhood bar vibe. Frank is a great host and ensures you don’t go thirsty during your time spent at the bar. It’s a nice space with communal tables and a projector playing old school films (silent) and gives a pleasant, non-pretentious aura. This was a highlight and over a few visits, consistently a fun place to get your drink on in Montreal.

2015-02-14. Small enough that we walked past it at first. It is mostly empty early on a Saturday night, I suspect partly due to the frigid temperatures outside. The brewer (Fred) is at the bar chatting with some beer tourists, a small number of locals cycle through for a beer or two. The quiet suits my mood and I prefer it to the crowds elsewhere personally. Solid selection of Hopfenstark brews on tap, including three we haven’t managed to rate before. The Post Colonial on cask is pretty solid. A small but good selection of non-Hopfenstark bottles as well. They have Toronto vs. Montreal on a projector in black and white! I’m not sure if the lack of colour is on purpose or a technical difficulty but I feel like it suits the place beautifully. (Catching the game here also makes me feel better about not paying exorbitant prices to go see the game live!) The decor is relatively spare with not a ton of stuff on the wooden walls, it feels "hip" and cool without coming off as hipstery or pretentious. There is a small food menu that looks decent, but we opted for Poutineville just down the street before coming. Well worth a visit I will definitely return.

Visité lors du Rallye Bières et Plaisirs 2014. Bel endroit avec beaucoup de bois, sélection de bière intéressante et de qualité, service efficace et sympathique, prix dans la moyenne. À revisiter.

From the exterior it is easy to walk right by this place which would be a shame as I felt they had the most exciting tap list I saw while in town(ex: pinot noir barrel aged DDC) - empty of customers on an early Tuesday evening, better signage out front would boost the crowds but I suppose a well kept secret is nice. 20 taps and I wanted to drink them all. As i said a fantastic tap list with great hopfenstark and rarities from other breweries. I wound up drinking 8-9 samples plus got a delicious 8$ pulled-pork sandwich. Gruff but decent service that knew their beer. A bare pine interior very modern design log cabin like feel. Tasters were 2.50$ or 3$ a pop. Well worth a visit.

Great space. Beautiful, clean wood interior. Was bright and airy on the day I was in. Sun streams in through the open front. The bar staff was knowledgeable and the beer was fantastic. It’s got a limited food menu, but the beer selection is the real treat. Their own stuff and a limited number of other Quebec micros. There not a lot to complain about here - reminds me of the Blind Tiger in NYC without the crowds.

Station ho. St is a nice bar with rustic, wooden interiors and a great selection of beer from Hopfenstark (and one beer from de Ranke). If you are into Belgian style farmhouse ales, then there is very little going wrong for you at this place.
The staff are obviously knowledgeable and, to make it even better, are also very pleasant. One of the guys came over to our table and personally handed me a sample of their imperial stout.
The place was not crowded when we were there, which was strange on a Saturday night, but that is all the better if you are trying to get seats for a group. In other words, I had no complaints. Oh, and they also have a tasty whiskey collection for your friends who are more inclined to hit the hard stuff. Good experience.
