76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 jackl (205) London, England | June 3, 2012 The Horseshoe is a nice local pub located close to Hampstead tube station. The layout is attractive and relaxed - there’s plenty of communal wooden benches opposite a long bar, large windows, and an exposed kitchen in the back room. The service is decent, the beer well kept. I didn’t try the food, but it looks OK. What I like best about the Horseshoe is their selection of local beers. So many aspirational posh pubs in London opt for easy choices like Staropramen and Becks. But The Horseshow has a nice selection of beers from the likes of Camden, Redemption, and other regional breweries. The last time I visited, the pub was holding a local breweries tap takeover, a nice idea. Overall, it’s a nice place. I wouldn’t travel here specifically to drink, but I’d certainly recommend a visit if you’re in the area. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 JorgeLee (71) , England | May 27, 2012 Good pub for food and drink in the middle of Hampstead. Quite a busy place, food is normally decent but can vary, service struggles when busy, beer selection good with a range of Camden Town on keg and a couple of cask beers on rotation - the likes of Redemption and Magic Rock feature. The bottle selection is small but good too. Long wine list. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 YULbier (250) Montreal, | September 26, 2011 5 Camden Town beers were on tap on visiting day: very good ales & lagers made in London. Food was original and tasty. Service is relaxed-pro. Jazz music fits with the cosy interior. Place is located in a very nice neighboorhood that is off-centered but definitely worth visiting. | 50 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 3/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 yespr (44) Copenhagen O, Denmark | September 10, 2009| Updated October 1, 2009 Stumbled across this a bit by accident, out looking for a place to eat one night with colleagues. Small and nice little place, rustic interior yet also modern. Good food, not your traditional pub food but slightly more modern. They had only one beer of their own on at the time. Reasonable priced on both beer and food. | 54 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (345) Citizen of the universe, Denmark | December 4, 2007| Updated October 1, 2009 A modernly decorated pub with a very young clientel. The bar is very square, and the cooking area is modernly placed inside thedining area. The wooden plank floor and some lovely dark wooden tables and the high cealings, gives it a bit of an old feel. 1 own beer on cask as well as 3 guest beers. The service was quite fast and very friendly. I had a very nice dish of Sea Bream. |
