This is the best beer store in the Pittsburgh area. It offers plenty of single bottles, bombers, but no cases. Also they have 40 taps (sometimes less) which you can order a pint or growler to go. They have the best beer selection in Pittsburgh - including stuff that doesnít even distribute here (Westvleteren, Russian River, Lost Abbey, tons of international stuff, Struise). I donít know how they get it, but itís here, and thereís a special shelf near the register with one offs (I remember Central Waters Peruvian Morning). The only problem is freshness - some of these gems have been sitting around for awhile, so be careful. It is also pricey, because youíre paying for single bottles (and the out-of-market stuff is just more expensive). Anyway, itís a great place but itíll hurt youíll wallet because youíll want to buy everything.

Pretty far out from the city, sort of in a bad area and the parking isnít great. Bar area is pretty cool with plenty of tap selections. Bottle selection is nothing short of insane. Everywhere you look there seems to be something that you didnít think could be had in the area. Everyone I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high but I donít mind paying a premium for stuff I canít find elsewhere. Didnít get a chance to try the food. This place is a must see if youíre anywhere in the area.

An excellent beer store/ bottle shop/ bar. The sit down bar is in the back of the building, and doesnít have a lot of room. The fact that little if any money is spent on decorating actually increases the ambiance for a real beerfan because it keeps the emphasis on the brews.
Staff are all knowledgeable as are the regulars. On my second visit, people greeted me by name. Just about anyone in the place is willing to discuss beer.
Prices are reasonable for the huge bottle selection, and there are always specials on select growlerfills.

The owner is friendly and so is the staff. They have a good selection and the prices are definitely some of the best in the Pittsburgh area.

All I can say is WOW! I thought Vintage Estate was great, but this place his it beat hands down. Not for the amount of beers, but the selection. They have stuff you canít get anywhere else in PA or OH (you go see for yourself) and the bar manager was fantastic. When I was there we were the only ones in there and this guy actually knows his stuff. Too often you go to places like this and the employees have little to no knowledge of what they are selling. He pointed out all the rarities and most sought after stuff to me and engaged in some beer talk. Prices rival our OH neighbors. Will be a weekly visit

Ambiance is a basic bottle shop, nice layout allowing it to be easy to find beers you are looking for. Service is good, with staff always asking if you need help finding anything. Selection is very good, having some things that most places in Pgh wouldnt but may also not be able to find things that you would expect them to have. Value is unbeatable of anywhere in Pgh, prices are very low and it is also located out of allegheny county so you can avoid the drink tax. Overall a very good selection at awesome prices.

I cant go into this place and leave empty handed. The selection is top notch and you can usually count on them to get the rare stuff in. I make it a habit of stopping by once a week after work.

Ok, when I originally rated this place. I meant everything I said about it. It is a low key, blue collar, and mostly unassuming looking place in the middle of New Ken. However, in recent months, they have completely upped the ante. They now have 24 taps, half of which are Belgian. The selection is not unmatched, but the prices are. There were two single bottles that were priced 15 dollars less each than they were at Sharp Edge. The owner is always putting out little cheese and meat plates for patrons, and last time I was there, he just ordered a bunch of pizzas for everyone. This place has tons of quality beer, great home town atmosphere, and the best value Iíve found pretty much anywhere in PA. They still have a 10 dollar mix and match for most of their beers.

Tucked away in New Ken, this is the closest place to home with a solid selection for the Pittsburgh Market, including some rarities like HotD, 3Fonteinen, Cantillon and Ottoís. Fantastic service, Dave (Owner), Scott (Bar Manager) both know their beer and it shows. Enjoyed geeking out. Prices are great, plus, as stated, no Onorato tax. Will definitely make this a regular stop.
