Huge bar just behind St Peters church in the center of Leuven. Nice atmosphere. Average food, nothing special, but not expensive. Non-smoking, a wonderful and rare thing in Belgium. I was not impressed with their own beers, but they had all the Trappists except Westy, two real geuzes and krieks, and a few other pleasant things.

Nice place with a lot of different beers. House beers are decent, yet they have a lot of other good beers too. Food is good. They have the best Buffalo Wings I’ve eaten in Europe. A great place for a meal and a few, or just a few.

Visted on September 22, 2010. Flew in to Brussles took a short train ride to Leuven. Got off the train, saw my hotel La Royale right away, checked in, then took a short nice and relaxed about 8 minute walm towards the big church, turned left around the building right before I got to the church and spotted Domus right away. Sat down and had a nice fast service to a 25 cl very tasty and refreshing Con Domus (Blond) from tap. Nice to have it smoke free also for sure. Fairly big bottled beer selection with for me as a Swede very reasonable prices. I arrived on a regular Wednesday at around 2 pm (1 hour after getting o the plane), still a good number of guests and a quite big staff waiting on us. Situated in a seemingly nice neighbourhood where you can see the church out of the window on the one side. No automatic refills of the beer like for in example in Köln/Cologne, but after waitng a while and then made eye contact with my waiter I got once again very swift service. Now for the darker Nostra Dmus, also when not saying anything got served as 25 cl, perhaps the time of day, but for sampling I sure like it being served a bit smaller. My mates then showed up, we chatted a while, then ordered some food an the seasonal Nen Tripel 25 from tap. When the food arrived, a steak with krokettes and pepper sauce for me, it was very tasteand wel worth the price. Served medium to medium rare when not specifying. Perhaps well to the red side in the thick middle, but worked for me at least. Seating outdoors was also nice, helped the smokers too for bing able to smoke without leaving the table all the time. Finished with a big and then small Con Domus, which became my favourite from this brewer. Place is also rather kid friendly with the staff and guests. Toilets are nice and clean, 4 urinals and 1 stall in the mens room. Dark and narrow flight of stairs to the toilets though, so not very handicap friendly. Inside are afew steps too, so aguest in a wheel chair might have it less comfortable. Since I stayed for a few more after finished raing, I can say for me it’s a nice place to hang out and hve nice beers, not just do the ticking and then run off to the next place. All in all a very nice place, I’ll go back for sure next time I’m in town.

Nice brewpub in the center of the beautiful town of Leuven. Their own beers are quite nice. Very nice wooden interior, like an old ’auberge’. Food looked good at the other tables, i didn’t have it myself. A must see in Leuven!

Snuck off here on my first day in Leuven during my seminar’s welcome party that was at a pub maybe 10 meters from there. A big place in the middle of Leuven, with the brewing equipment detached a little from the pub. Fancyish restaurant style place more than a pub. Good service, only had the 2 regular beers that aren’t all that brilliant and they didn’t have any seasonals in the 3 days I was there :(. Some beer paraphernalia around, a nice bottled beer selection etc. Didn’t try the food, which I would normally if it weren’t for the fact that we had "free" food elsewhere, but there were definitely interesting things on the menu. A nice, slightly too expensive place for me that I just visited in the wrong circumstances.

Visited twice last weekend. Nice big brewpub/restaurant, nice interior, lots of wood, looks old, nicely decorated, good service, decent pub snacks (didn’t try the food) but a bit expensive. House beers are definitely worth a try, especially the Con Domus. Good bottled beer selection as well. Had a nice time here.

Visit October 2011 with the Gentse Biervereniging. The tour was a bit short and boring as they didn’t tell much more than the usual brewing process. But I guess most people just come here for a beer of course. It’s pretty remarkable how a brewpub offers a whole bunch of other beers as well. The beer menu is pretty extensive and has quite a lot of really good beers. We tried of course all three Domus beers available. (Con Domus, Nostra Domus and Marcamarus) We also ate here. Everybody was satisfied with his food. Nothing too special, but definitely ok. Next time when in Leuven, i’ll definitely drop by again to try another seasonal.

Nic eplace in heart of Leuven. They give you sampler so you won’t get wasted if you don’t know the beers.

Large place in the center of Leuven, three samples available of their own brews. Beers are ok, food is ok, athmosphere is ok, but overall not really inviting.
