Busy place game day. Average beers at best. Service OK. Food OK. A bit pricey. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. Tried the sampler, nothing going on there. Guest beers looked decent. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 hollardustin (5) Indiana | October 26, 2011 I didn’t really care for any of the Humperdinks brews, but they do have a small selection of pretty good guest beers. The service was excellent and the food was above average. | 38 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 1/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 5/20 jrallen34 (271) Chicago, Illinois | October 8, 2011 this is a place that you can skip unless you are a ticker like me and need some time to kill before a Rangers game... huge place, sports bar inside, d-bag crowd... the beers suck, 6 regulars and 4 beers that I think they actually brew there, bottle list of 10 beers, all easily accessible... didn’t have any of the food but it looked so generic and disgusting I would advise against it | 42 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 1/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 5/20 BMWiens (11) Texas | July 10, 2011 Undistinguished beers and barely edible food in a cookie-cutter sports bar atmosphere. They are close to the stadium, but otherwise I see no reason to seek out Humperkink’s. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | April 13, 2011 Large place. House beers range from undrinkable (Light) to not bad (Butt Face), but on the whole were not worth seeking out. Food was OK. Best thing about the experience was the server who steered us in the right direction regarding both the beers and the food. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 Hawksfan17 (63) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | May 27, 2010 The beer isn’t great here but they have a decent amount of beers that they do brew or get from their sister company. The IPA was the first one I had and was the best...I suggest sticking with that. The food was pretty good but this place is really all about coming to watch the game. They have TVs everywhere with every sporting event you can imagine on! It was great before the Texas Rangers game. | 58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 11/20 Cavie (80) Fort Worth, Texas | March 16, 2009 Upscale brewpub in Arlington. Bar area is big and always busy. Very impressive selection of liquors behind the bar, more visual than anything. Tried most of their beers they had to offer. Bartender was a guy I went to high school with, and he knew what qualities to look for in each style. He was always around when we needed him but didn’t chat much more beyond that. I did appreciate his honesty when he told us the stout and porter taps were funky - he said something was off about it and didn’t want us to try it when it was less than what it could be. Had a few bottled import and domestics available. Food is good yet expensive. Also have buzztime trivia available at this location. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Rahbysahn (4) Sacramento, California | January 22, 2008 This was my second visit to Humpy’s. My last one was 11-04. They had the same brews on tap as last time light, hefe, golden an ipa that could use some more hops and a pretty good porter. I went for the porter and a delicious rack of ribs. After flying in from Sacramento it sure hit the spot.
| 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Dansting (114) Overland Park, Kansas | June 29, 2007 Went on a Tuesday night for dinner before a Rangers game. The place looked like a very nice sports bar, with several TVs all around the place. They had a window on the side where you could see the brewing tanks. The beers were okay. Nothing outstanding, yet all were drinkable. Food was good, as I had the fish tacos. All in all, a nice place to go to when going to a Rangers game, but nothing to search out for. |
