The place has a nice patio with place for 40 people total if I remember correctly. There are multiple rooms inside, with traditional design. The service is excellent. All the waitresses are super kind and helpful. Huge thanks for the service. The food, that I had was fine (year round available Nürnberger Bratwurst, what else in Nurenberg). The beer selection is not stunning, but they have some local gems. The house beer that I had was awesome (Hütt’n Special). I really recommend if you are around.

Came in on a Wednesday at lunchtime and every single table was reserved, so I took a seat at the bar area, which was cosy enough. The location is much bigger than the last place with a much less cluttered decor, which is quite nice. Otherwise basically the same, friendly service, very good and cheap food and the same beerlist as before. Some extra points for being the only place in Nürnberg I know of that serve the Rittmayer Smokey George.

Hutt’n has relocated in 2012 from the previous location (which is now called Nurnberger Alm, where the manager Gerhardt remained). The new Hutt’n is more common (less special) than before, in a typical brown-bar multi-roomed building. The draft and bottle list is varied, but lacks the quality selections as before (you’d probably not get an oxidized, old Dunkler Bock bottle at Hutt’n before this), and the menu is frustrating to navigate (use of multiple font sizes, bold/underlined/italic fonts and varied left/center/right justification - it looks like a 5 year old designed it). So, goodbye to the legendary Hutt’n of Nuremberg, but hello to Restaurant Alm, located down the street at Hutt’n former location.

Visited Hütt’n in mid September 2012. It has recently moved across the street, from Bergstrasse 19 to 20, giving it a more spacy interior and a nice outdoor terrace by the sidewalk. I had several very good local Franconian beers, both on draft and bottle, and the bartender gave me good recommendations and backgrounds on the various breweries. The food was good and filling and the service reasonably fast. All in all a very good beer pub.

In my opinion an overrated place .. I mean it’s a good place in the city centre close to the castle with nice interior two good beers on tap and a decent selection of bottles but I visited better places in Bavaria and even in nunberg ... We enjoyed our visit and the food is more than good and if you’re in town go there without hesitation ...

Great Place for a Meal and a fresh beer. The staff and especially the owner are very helpful and welcoming. The Bavarian food is great and the atmosphere is charming. THe beer selection is good but not vast.

This place is ok, but absolutely not the best place in Nürnberg and Bavaria. That’s sure. The selection is large, but not impressive (the quality, I mean), the food is ok and staff is friendly and helpful. Anyhow I won’t rate this bar more than 80. I bit ovverrated imho.

The bartender was cool (I never did ask him the story behind the baseball bat), the female wait staff was cool, but for some reason the male waiter wouldn’t serve me outside despite concurrently taking orders for seven Poles. They do have some house stuff for ticks, but the reputation is a little beyond me – just a bar, a normal bar. Say it with me: just a bar.

Any beer nutter has to visit! A very good choice of local styles, hand picked as good examples (eg. Schwarzes Anna). The staff speak good English and love talking about beer (and keep you in there, they eventually opened the shutter and let me out after 3am on one occasion!) Many brewers visit this free-house and no doubt anyone half important in the industry, so respected is this pub. Do yourself a favour and pop in! One of Germany’s best pubs. Update : I now realise this pub has moved (not yet been to the new premise) so all the above refers to the old premise!

Nice little pub that we (me & Loz) visited on Tuesday 5th June 2012, we sat outside as this was one of those rare occasions on this holiday when the sun was shining. We did venture in, to briefly check out the interior and nip to the toilet and it looked really nice inside in fact appearing much older than the exterior would suggest. I had a Fischer Rauchbier, Loz had a Weiss forgot the name but it was very good. Service was good, place was nice, beer choice excellent. As another poster has already commented on, it would appear that this place has recently moved, but only a relatively short distance.
